Foden 'making steps' to put slow start to the season behind him

Man City's Phil Foden is confident he's on his way back to his best form after a slow start to the season.

00:05start to me. I think every player goes through it. I'm just glad I'm back now, enjoying my

00:13I think even last year I started a little bit slow. I don't think there's been a big

00:18difference in my performances. I've not started as many. There was a bit of fatigue coming

00:23back from last year, a bit of illness, so I've had a few niggles as well. A few things

00:28added together. If you speak to any player, they've all been through it. There's ups and

00:32downs of football. It's just a bump in the road, if you like. I need a run of games to

00:39get to my best. As long as I keep making progress, my fitness is getting back now as well. I

00:47keep scoring, obviously, as well. It's the main thing because that's what I want to try

00:50and do, the same as last year. Effect games and score for my team. I'm making steps in

00:56the right direction.
