Mama Hen complains about all the work that she's gotta do. Her baby chicks run amok and drive her to collapse. The chicks have a change of heart because it's Mother's Day- and they begin to do all the work for her.

00:00My work is never done. I'm early, more delicious, and it's done. I'm always on the run. My work is never done.

00:15I scrub the floors and make the beds. Wash the children, comb their heads. Go out shopping for the food. Make the fire, chop the wood.

00:22Wash and iron all the clothes. Sew on buttons down the holes. Get the meals and set the table. Let the old man think he's gable.

00:29Wait on them with food and drinks. Wash the dishes, clean the sink. There go all the pots and pans. Put the rubbish out in cans.

00:35Tidy up the dining room. Clean the crumbs up with the foam. Bathe and put the kids to bed. See that all their prayers are sinned.

00:42Get the old man's slippers and slippers. Then I put away his shoes. Make the children stop their yelling while the old man reads the news.

00:49Have to find and set the clock. See that all the doors are locked. Be proud of bed. Put out the light. That's all I'm doing day and night.
