00:00DSWD has already started preparing the family food packs that will be distributed to those affected by Hurricane Christine.

00:16I'm still here at the National Resource Operations Center or NROC of DSWD.

00:22This is where the family food packs will be distributed to those affected by Hurricane Christine.

00:32You can see the DSWD personnel and volunteers who are packing rice here at NROC.

00:41According to the report of the DSWD head office, there are 176,436 boxes of family food packs that can be delivered to different areas.

00:54Aside from the numbers that I mentioned earlier, there is a supply of food packs to the LGUs.

01:03If the LGUs run out, the DSWD field office will be able to provide additional supplies.

01:10This is called preposition goods.

01:12If the local warehouses run out, all packages will be transported from NROC Pasay to the affected areas.

01:22This is the cycle of government response to ensure that those affected by the hurricane will not starve.

01:30According to the report of the DSWD, there are more than 94,000 food packs in the Ilocos region.

01:35There are more than 114,000 food packs in Cagayan Valley.

01:40There are 63,000 food packs in the Cordillera Administrative Region.

01:44There are less than 1,600 food packs in Batanes Island.

01:48The DSWD is doing a lot of work.

01:53The OECD estimates that up to 30 million people from 18,000 barangays could be affected by Hurricane Christine.

02:03Meanwhile, I will explain to you the contents of the family food pack that I mentioned earlier.

02:09Inside the DSWD, there are two buckets of vacuum-sealed rice.

02:17Each bucket contains 3 kilograms of rice.

02:19In total, each bucket contains 6 kilograms of rice.

02:22There are 10 different types of sardines in the family food pack.

02:32Aside from the sardines, there are 5 sachets of coffee and 5 sachets of chocolate.

02:40This is the coffee.

02:43This is the contents of the family food pack that is enough for a family with 5 members.

02:49They will be able to eat for 3 days.

02:52They will not starve while performing rescue operations or while inside an evacuation center.
