00:30and kind of odd tone.

00:32Insane killing people, and I have both.

00:37What's tricky is how to make manifest

00:39something that's compelling and works.

00:41We had to marry this kind of comedy with horror

00:45and also touches of the surreal absurdism as well.

00:49Because you're just a parasite.

00:54A movie like this is going to live and die

00:56in multiple parts, one being its story

00:58and its character work,

00:59and the other being visual effects and action.

01:15we knew that Venom 2 had to be huge.

01:18I'd like you to meet Carnage.

01:21This thing just got bigger and bigger and bigger

01:24and more and more and more crazy.

01:26He also wanted to lean to the comedy

01:28and absurd side of the movie, too.

01:31Okay, here we go. Action!

01:37I really, really loved the first two Venom movies.

01:40I just think Tom Hardy is brilliant in them.

01:42Stop!

01:43There's something quite sexy about Venom, also.

01:46Sorry, no, not my type.

01:48Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!

01:49Wait! I'll leave it.

01:50Tom puts so much in everything he does,

01:53and he just loves to play.

01:56Let's make a move.

01:57It's such an amazing performance

01:58because he's playing two characters,

02:00and he plays them so effortlessly.

02:03That was a massive part of the attraction in the first place,

02:06to get to work with Tom again.

02:07Whoa!

02:09There's lots of nice comedy undertones in there,

02:12as well as these fantastic action sequences.

02:15So, to be asked back was great.

02:17Last time it ended slightly open-ended.

02:23By the end of Venom 2,

02:25everybody knows that symbiotes exist.

02:27Venom and Eddie have very much exposed themselves in this movie.

02:31They're gonna come for you both.

02:33I know.

02:34And so, ultimately, what that really means for Venom 3

02:38is that Eddie and Venom are fugitives.

02:44What Kelly's done is,

02:46Let's go get them.

02:48What Kelly's done with this film is really on a huge scale.

02:53Kelly wanted this to be sort of the biggest one of the three.

02:56It's so out there. It's so crazy.

03:01Incredible set pieces, great stunts,

03:04but also these deeper moments

03:06and deeper ways of engaging with these characters.

03:08We get out of San Francisco,

03:10and we're seeing Venom in a different context.

03:15The time has come.

03:19has found us.

03:24There's a mythic component to this film,

03:27and there are scenes full of pathos.

03:29It's an epic story.

03:31You see Eddie and Venom coming together as a team.

03:35When one falls, the other one catches the other.

03:39We always want to do right by the fans,

03:42and that we're sort of paying homage to Venom

03:44and getting it right.

03:46Throw you out of the mud!

03:56It kind of combines all of those elements

03:58that I think we love to see in the Venom films.

04:01There's an army coming that cannot be beaten.

04:03These films are getting bigger and bigger and bigger,

04:05and this one's huge this time.

04:07Eddie, run!

04:08It's such an enormous production,

04:10but it feels really authentic.

04:12It's just going to blow the audience's minds.

04:14It's been blowing our minds every day.

04:16It is truly unique,

04:19and I know the fans will love it.
