00:00Hey guys, welcome to Macintosh Weekly, and today in this video, I'm going to show how

00:04to fix App Not Opened on macOS Sequoia.

00:07If you're new to the channel, make sure to subscribe, and now let's begin.

00:11With the release of macOS Sequoia, any app from an unidentified developer gives an error

00:17that the app is not opened.

00:18This is because Apple could not verify the app is free of malware that may harm your

00:23Mac or compromise your privacy.

00:26To open any of such apps, open System Settings, and go to the Privacy & Security tab.

00:31Under the Privacy & Security page, scroll down till last.

00:35Here under the Security section, you'll have an option.

00:38The app was blocked to protect your Mac.

00:41Click on Open Anyway, and then proceed with the prompts, and your app will be opened.

00:52And as you can see, the app is now open.

00:55To allow a few such apps, you can also set the Allow Applications from option to App

01:00Store and Known Developers.

01:02Changing this option will allow you to open a few Fro such apps downloaded from unverified

01:07sources.

01:08If you still get the App Not Opened error, you'll need to open it anyways from the Privacy

01:13& Security tab.

01:14However, you can also do this by executing a simple command in Terminal that allows to

01:20open apps on your Mac from anywhere.

01:40And here you can see, under the Allow Applications from is set to Anywhere.

01:46And now, whenever you open such apps, you'll just need to click on Open when it says App

01:51Downloaded from the Internet, and are you sure want to open it.

01:54After you click on Open, your app will open.
