00:15together throughout the film so that is man management it's like it's a process that's why

00:20as a producer you have a very different mindset so I guess that happens with most producers and

00:25that's where I'm also in that process so this but it was very easy in this case because firstly

00:32the time that I got into this project you know things had already progressed

00:35to a greater extent my coming into the project was now where you know we are in the process of

00:41getting it to you know get the recognition and to do the best that we can do the film

00:46and then find a good release which we are doing right now.

00:48I think for an actor you know when the more nuances a character has you know more

00:58more shades he has one good to play that. In this film, by itself the story

01:06and the characters it has that thing it starts off light you see that romance you see the family

01:12it's him growing up all that and then it turns to a whole different world you know

01:33yes it has a for an actor it's a wonderful thing to have this kind of a

01:58so her spine is very strong Lalli's character's spine is very very strong very straight she's a

02:03warrior at the soul level and also a rebel when it comes to her family you know her people her

02:09you know her own people her right you know what's actually hers so she will go to any level

02:15and I think that's about it I mean because she's throughout strong there's no way she can you know

02:21because she has to stand with her husband right and for the family so there's no way she can put

02:25on that face that sad face or a scared face in the film anyway so yeah I mean to you know get

02:32into that zone was a bit difficult for me because I am normally not like that I am I'm both actually

02:37I'm strong and vulnerable at the same time but in this film or throughout I had to maintain that

02:42mindset that how strong this woman must be and instinctive she must be that you know

02:50to you know stand with the husband and the family shoulder to shoulder all the time

02:55so that was very difficult for me but yeah it kind of happened

03:08It was very difficult as you said to create that era but genuinely even today in Punjab and Haryana

03:15there are a lot of such cities and villages even today it feels like people are still there

03:21it's not about that progress hasn't been made there progress has been made everywhere

03:25roads have been made everywhere but in from heart culturally from house some people don't want to change

03:32they say we are fine the way we are so when we locked Banda Singh Chaudhary's house

03:36or the fields around us or the people we met it felt like we were in the 70s

03:41so it's a blessing for us so for sure we had challenges like we had to leave the whole of Punjab

03:47where to shoot, where to make a house, what to do then we got to know that people even today

03:52like our house of Banda Singh Chaudhary the uncle who used to live there he's from 1930

03:57I mean he's almost 100 years old now so we got to hear a lot of stories from him

04:02and we got to know a lot of things he told us to go to this village and shoot

04:05even today there is no distribution there people don't do it, they don't want to do it

04:09everyone has a distribution but they don't want to do it they want to live there

04:13they want to live in the same style

04:15he was that uncle who used to sleep on his mattress during the shoot

04:19he used to sleep there, he used to wait for us to sleep

04:22he used to sleep there, he used to sleep on his mattress

04:26wherever we were shooting, he used to sleep there

04:29if we talk about the land like we talk about Punjab

04:33that land has given a lot of warriors

04:37where there are warriors there are obviously controversies

04:40there are a lot of things and Punjab is such a place where it is most difficult to break

04:46there are some people who have been trying to break Punjab from the beginning

04:48they are still trying but it is not possible

04:51because the people of Punjab, the Punjabiness that is embedded in them
