Academy Museum Gala 2024 honoree, Rita Moreno, says she was astonished and never expected to be honored by the Academy. The actress teases the next 'Fast & Furious' film, where she hopes to be behind the wheel.

00:05Yeah. Well, congratulations. What does it mean to get this kind of icon recognition from the Academy?

00:11You know, I don't know yet. I'll really know when my name is called, but I have to tell you, I'm astonished.

00:18I am truly astonished. It is not anything I ever, ever expected. It's thrilling.

00:26And I saw Ariana DeBose is here. Do you have a couple other friends? Steven Spielberg, I think.

00:30She was sitting at my table. Yes. I've been thrilled.

00:35And, I mean, you've done so much in your career, obviously. Is there still a bucket list or things that you're waiting to check off?

00:41Oh, I'm still waiting to check off. That doesn't mean that I'm going to be doing those things.

00:48But I've always said that anything. Who's the actress I love that I love?

00:57That's no help, is it? I can't remember her name, and I love her.

01:02Which one you're asking me? I'm asking you. Let me.

01:08Well, Chastain is. She'll do. She's fat. And I love her, too. She's a lovely lady.

01:14Are we going to see a more Fast and Furious? Is that on the agenda?

01:17I'm supposed to do another. So I'm waiting to hear it. I'm very excited.

01:23I'm hoping this time they'll put me in a car because this could be very funny.

01:29You know, his grandmother, she apparently I was told she has a history that she was a great driver once.

01:39How do you like that? Wouldn't that be amazing?

01:42Are you pitching Vin on let's get you on the track?

01:44No. Well, I don't have to pitch it. That's her history. Now I'm hoping we can get her in a car.

01:51I would love to see that. And obviously there's so much Hollywood history we're celebrating tonight.

01:56Do you have something from like a prop or a costume from one of your projects that you would love to see end up in this museum?

02:02It is. What's in there? My Oscar gown is in here.

02:05Amazing. Right. It's my beautiful. And I think it's on the same floor and kind of next to chairs.

02:14You know, the one where she was really naked in front. That one that was almost there, but not quite that one.
