00:00Let's move on to our questions session. Our first question today is from Wahidullah Khan from Waziristan.
00:07There is a program called TREASURE NFT. Is it permissible to earn money through this or not?
00:14In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
00:17The meaning of NFT is that in today's digital world, when something is sold, a new code is generated.
00:28Blockchain is open.
00:31To generate a code means that this person owns it.
00:38When this person wants to sell it,
00:43the buyer will put the buyer's address in it.
00:47This means that the ownership is transferred to this person.
00:52The NFT that is made can be anything.
00:56You have made a picture.
00:59You have taken a picture of a mountain.
01:01There is a book.
01:02There is a painting.
01:04Or you have made a tute.
01:06Anything in the world can be made into an NFT in a digital form.
01:14When it is called a sale, is it permissible to sell it or not?
01:18If 3 or 4 conditions are met, then it is permissible to sell it.
01:23The first thing is that the NFT that is being made has to be owned by this person.
01:28Sometimes it happens that something belongs to someone else.
01:32But he doesn't know how to do it.
01:34So this person made a NFT and generated a code and sold it.
01:38Even though he is not the owner of it.
01:40So by cheating, by misrepresenting, by fraud, it is not permissible to sell something else.
01:47And the second thing is that the thing that is being sold,
01:51by making a code and generating a code,
01:53that thing should be in such a way that it is Sharia compliant.
01:56That you have made a picture of a mountain.
01:59Or you have a poem.
02:01Or someone's statement.
02:03Or a book.
02:05Or someone's statement.
02:07Or anything like that.
02:09That is Sharia compliant.
02:11So if that thing is being sold, then it is permissible to sell it.
02:14But if it is non-Sharia compliant,
02:16that it is a picture of a woman,
02:18or there is some fraud in it,
02:20and it is being made into an NFT and sold, then it is not permissible.
02:24And the third condition is that it should be properly owned.
02:28So there is a method in which you have something,
02:31you have the ownership rights, so you have downloaded it.
02:34So after the possession, it should be sold.
02:37And the fourth condition is also mentioned by some people,
02:39that nowadays, since it is on the blockchain,
02:41the whole village,
02:42so the things that are being bought and sold there,
02:44are in the digital currency,
02:46not in the cryptocurrency, like other currencies.
02:48So in return for that, things are being sold.
02:51Because the scholars have a lot of reservations on this currency,
02:54there are a lot of complaints.
02:56So instead of this digital currency,
02:58whatever bigger currencies are there,
03:00like dollars, or any other currency,
03:03if it is bought and sold in that currency,
03:06then it is not permissible to sell it.
03:08So after these four conditions,
03:10if someone talks like this,
03:12then it is not permissible to sell it.
