00:10and on Dancing with the Stars. How was it talking

00:12about your relationship with your parents and just

00:14being open like that?

00:16Yeah, it's hard. It's not easy.

00:18You know, I've built up years and years of

00:20just defense mechanisms of not talking

00:22about things, and on The Bachelorette

00:24it was really nice to

00:26sometimes be pushed to open up, right?

00:28And here it's like, I have to push myself

00:30to open up, and because I know that it's healthy

00:32and I know that not only am I doing it

00:34for myself, but I'm doing it for everyone else

00:36who has ever been through anything similar to what

00:38I've been through. You know, I really saw the impact that I made

00:40being on The Bachelorette, talking about the

00:42stuff that I've been through, and how it's

00:44inspired other people, and I just want to continue

00:46to do the same for people, is to inspire

00:48them. I feel like it's just helped you

00:50evolve in this new journey and chapter in your life too,

00:52just being so open and honest about that.

00:56a healthy thing to be honest with yourself

00:58and to be honest with other people.

01:10Yeah, The Archer is such a beautiful song.

01:12It talks about insecurities, flaws, feeling

01:14unlovable, feeling like people are going to leave you

01:16because you're too little or too much.

01:18So I've spent a lot of my life

01:20comparing myself to other people or wanting to be

01:22somebody else, and I'm at a

01:24point now where I don't think that anymore, but

01:26you know, when I was in those dark, dark moments

01:28it's like, it was

01:30everything in that song encompassed what I

01:32was feeling, and so I wanted to be able to dance

01:34to that, to release that energy and to also let

01:36other people know that they're not alone in feeling that

01:38way when they do, and I want

01:40people to be able to be

01:42inspired to overcome

01:44the hard times.

01:48your life right now? I'm in my speak now

01:54but it's more of an independent era,

02:52been channeling. It's like, yeah, you can be a little

02:54bit broken, but look at where I am

02:56right now. It's like, I'm living out my dreams,

03:02really a special week because it's dedication week,

03:04but we also saw Hailey and Derek return to the dance floor.

04:50Alison. I was like, Alison, I need a favor.
