The Bush Hotel was rocked by a chorus of voices as the world’s largest contemporary choir celebrated a book launch by Caroline Redman Lusher. To celebrate the launch of her new book SING: The Story of Rock Choir families, friends and guests gathered at the hotel to get an autographed book and a special performance from the Rock Choir branches from Farnham, Guildford and Godalming. In the book, Caroline takes you through her journey from a young girl with dreams of becoming a pop star to becoming an entrepreneur and leader of an award-winning organisation. The memoir gives readers an intimate look into the highs and lows she has experienced and the significant moments which have shaped her journey.
Members of the Rock Choir were able to get signed copies of the book and chat to Caroline to get a sneak peak into they will read later on. They performed Sweet Child O’mine by Guns and Roses, Somewhere Only We Know by Keane and What a feeling the soundtrack to the 1983 film Flashdance. To finish off they performed Loco in Acapulco by Four tops where each choir member rushed into the crowd to grab an audience member to dance with adding to the fun. The choir which originated in Farnham nearly two decades ago has spread across the country featuring in some of the biggest shows from BBC at the proms to ITV documentaries “The Choir That Rocks”. The book is available on Amazon , Waterstones and WhSmith for a retail price £12.99
