00:13divisional standings on seating already in the AFC, even after week six, not

00:19just because the first third of the 2024 NFL regular season now officially in

00:25the books, but because of everything that had happened around this Jets

00:30organization in the last seven days.

00:33The firing of head coach Robert Sala only five weeks into his fourth year at

00:37the helm, the demotion of Nathaniel Hackett, the promotion of Todd Downing

00:42as the play caller in the first game under interim head coach Jeff Ulbricht

00:47and of course all of the notoriety and focus on a 40-year-old quarterback

00:52Aaron Rodgers trying to lead the New York Jets to a playoff berth for the

00:57first time in 14 NFL seasons.

01:01And if you might be thinking to yourself, why are we talking to playoffs

01:04six weeks into the season?

01:06That was how critical Monday night was at MetLife.

01:11And at the end of the day, Joe, for a variety of reasons, and we'll break down

01:15every angle, the officiating and too much yellow laundry on the turf last night,

01:20the abhorrent field goal kicking on both sides from both Buffalo and New York.

01:26Whatever the reason is, ultimately the box score will show and the standings

01:31will represent a Buffalo team that won to improve the four and two and occupy

01:37the top spot alone in the AFC East.

01:4023 to 20, the win for the Bills on the road in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

01:45They cover as a one and a half point road favorite against the Jets.

01:50Yeah, I mean, well, this event, I mean, they did exactly, Buffalo did exactly

01:54what they needed to do.

01:55They need to go on the road, tough environment and get the job done.

02:00And that's exactly what Josh Allen and by the way, I mean, Davis was a huge

02:06and I mean a huge factor in that game for Buffalo.

02:09Once we learned that Cook was out and he did a phenomenal job.

02:13He did everything they needed to do in order to be able to win on the road in

02:17a division, which is never an easy thing to do.

02:19In the meantime, the Jets and many aspects outplayed Buffalo across the

02:24board, especially in the second half.

02:26But you know, when you only go one of four in the red zone, you miss a couple

02:31of field goals.

02:32You go for 12 on third down and now you've got on and top everything else.

02:37You apparently have a kicking problem.

02:39One that needs to be addressed.

02:41They keep saying Zerline is healthy.

02:43I don't see it.

02:45I don't think he's healthy.

02:46I think something is going on there.

02:48It's yet another one of these things.

02:49The Jets are going to have to look at and at this point now a short week.

02:53They got to go to Pittsburgh for Sunday night.

02:56They don't have you know, these were games.

02:58They needed to win.

02:59They gave one in Denver to Denver.

03:02They gave one to Buffalo their room for error.
