Natalia Czech, 34, has been renting all her life and has no plans to buy a property despite being able to afford to do so.   Natalia believes that remaining off the property ladder allows her more freedom in life and suits her lifestyle better.  She and her husband Dominik Sawosko, 35, value being able to move around whenever they like, be that for work or personal reasons.

00:00Hi, I'm Natalia. I'm 34 years old and I'm not interested in buying my own house.

00:06I just find renting much more attractive.

00:09I don't want to buy my own house because renting gives me freedom.

00:13I left house when I was 19, my family home, and I moved 8 times since then.

00:19I moved to UK 7 years ago and it also gave me freedom of choice.

00:25It's just literally me and what I want to do with my life.

00:28And yeah, I just find it more attractive.

00:31I feel that system pushes us to get our own house as soon as we possibly can.

00:38And it's really difficult, especially for young people because we don't tend to earn as much in our 20s.

00:45I also feel like the older generation taught us that house is like the most valued reassurance for the future.

00:54Renting doesn't hold me back and I think if I was offered a good job opportunity,

01:00I could just easily move whenever, you know, you name it.

01:04I could move to Dubai, I could move to London.

01:06Not owning a house, just renting will get me further in life

01:12as I am so open to opportunities, any occasion that can come along.

01:17And I think you can rent much nicer properties than you would be able to afford buying.

01:23And, you know, I haven't really lived in one place longer than four years.

01:27Also, if I ever want to go remote, I could like go and travel with my husband.

01:33You know, we could just travel around the world or we could just, you know, rent a van and just drive around Europe or anything like that.

01:42So, yes, it just gives me so much freedom.

01:45And, you know, I'm very happy with the life that I have built and I'm happy that I am carefree.

01:51I don't need to worry about my garden, I don't need to worry about anything that comes with the house.

01:57Well, it's like any renovations, any repairs, anything like that.

02:02So, it just gives me a peace of mind and it also gives me freedom of choice.
