bravery and hope.
00:09
We've got just a few more moments to share with you before we wrap up, including a special
00:13
musical tribute. So stick around, you won't want to miss it.

I'm a million lights up in the sky, just look up.
01:32
When you're down on your knees and you've run out of fire, don't give up.
01:41
Forever I'm yours, forever you're mine, just know that forever I'll be by your side.

I'm a million lights up in the sky, just look up and you'll see my love.
03:07
Thank you so much.
03:17
Hiya James and Lauren, now we've got a few more winners that we're going to be talking to tonight.
03:30
The reason for this is four years ago I was diagnosed with osteosarcoma and two and a half years ago I was told I only had six months left.
03:40
But obviously I went against that, so yeah.
03:46
You're a very impressive young lady, is there anything else that you would like to add?
03:52
I just want to say thank you to everyone who supported me.
03:56
Couldn't have done it without them to be honest.
03:58
Faith in Families has been running projects across Swansea for the last 25 years
04:03
and to actually receive an outstanding charity award tonight is incredible for us.
04:10
It just helps us to say to the children and families that we are working with that they mean something,
04:16
they're valuable, we love them, we adore them and we're going to fight and push back on poverty.
04:26
Can you take the mic?
04:28
Hello.
04:31
Nice to meet you.
04:37
How does it feel to win?
04:39
I feel very excited.
04:42
One of the things you've always talked about is hope, which is the spirit of these awards.
04:47
Yeah, this is something that's before everything, thank everybody for being here
04:54
and thanking the charity too for honouring the girls.
04:58
It's a huge achievement for me and for them beyond everything.
05:07
Goodbye everyone, lovely to see you.
05:27
A warm Welsh welcome to Beverly Knox!
05:32
So come on!
05:34
Let me see you then, let's go!
05:37
Greatest state of Ireland
05:40
We've got a speaker, you don't have to sit down, let's go!
05:47
Greatest state of Ireland
05:51
So don't say the air is cool today
05:55
And it's better that I don't send the rain
06:00
And it's best if heaven holds back the clouds
06:05
Because inside of me there's fire on the train
06:09
So every day I find that golden clover
06:14
And every day, lady, love is at my door
06:18
And gold to me, I find is in remission
06:23
To love I have no more
06:27
But you know I'm feeling good, never better
06:32
That's the greatest state of my life
06:36
Yes it is, I'm feeling good, never better
06:42
That's the greatest state of my life
06:47
And so don't say you're heated from down today
06:52
And it's better you keep your prints on ice
06:57
And it's best if you've got that juice down in your soul
07:01
Yes it is, I'm feeling good, never better
07:04
So repeat after me, repeat after me
07:08
I'm feeling good, never better
07:12
Hold your head up high, reach your heart and say
07:15
Everything's gonna be alright
07:19
Don't think twice, shake from inside, say
07:23
Everything's gonna be alright
07:27
Hold your time, raise your mind, say
07:31
Everything's gonna be alright
07:35
You'll see the light
07:37
Turn around this time and say
07:39
Everything's gonna be alright
07:43
Hold on tight
07:45
Reach up high and say
07:47
Everything's gonna be alright
07:51
You'll see the light
07:53
Turn around this time and say
07:55
Everything's gonna be alright
07:59
Hold on tight
08:01
Reach up high and sing it
08:03
Everything's gonna be alright
08:07
You'll see the light
08:09
Turn around this time and say
08:11
Everything's gonna be alright
08:15
Hold on tight
08:17
Reach up high and say
08:19
Everything's gonna be alright
08:23
You'll see the light
08:25
Turn around this time and say
08:27
Everything's gonna be alright
08:31
Reach up high and say
08:33
Everything's gonna be alright
08:37
You'll see the light
08:39
Turn around this time and say
08:41
Everything's gonna be alright
08:45
Everything's gonna be alright
08:59
Thank you!
09:03
Hang on, what were you saying?
09:05
Blanche, do you want to do it?
09:07
Quick thank yous.
09:09
We just wanted to say, like,
09:11
Beverly has done this from her heart
09:13
with kindness tonight, and
09:15
it's just amazing.
09:17
And, you know, we couldn't do this
09:19
without people like Beth and Darren
09:21
who got in here tonight, and DJ Monroe
09:23
who's also here with Beverly and Beverly's team.
09:25
And actually, the whole community
09:27
in Swansea, like, Mark and I
09:29
just cannot do this without sponsors,
09:31
without support, without volunteers,
09:33
without putting a lot of effort into things.
09:35
But it's all worth it
09:37
when we look here tonight
09:39
and we see all those kids, young people,
09:41
and all that they've achieved
09:43
be recognised tonight.
09:45
And that's the most important thing,
09:47
because without that, we've worked in media
09:49
all our lives, and we are sick to death
09:51
of content that just isn't about community anymore.
09:53
And it's really important
09:55
that we recognise that.
09:57
And it's so important to us
09:59
that we recognise that.
10:01
And I know Beth and Hayes
10:03
want to say a thank you, but I'm always going to say it.
10:05
I'm going to keep saying it.
10:07
Our sponsors, Trade Centre Wales,
10:09
has been with us from the beginning,
10:11
and it was actually Rhiannon and I
10:13
who chatted about this idea.
10:15
So I want to say thank you
10:17
to all of you, every single person
10:19
in the room. You're just all amazing.
10:21
And I know Mark wants to say thank you too.
10:23
Well, he does think that. I'm making it.
10:27
I hope you had a fantastic night.
10:29
It's been amazing. Thank you, Catherine.
10:31
Thank you. You're an amazing voice.
10:33
Thank you very much.
10:35
What an incredible night it's been.
10:37
We've had the honour of hearing
10:39
some truly remarkable stories,
10:41
reminding us of the strength, kindness,
10:43
and determination of the young people of Wales.
10:45
Absolutely. Every one of our winners
10:47
tonight has shown us that no matter the challenge,
10:49
with courage and compassion,
10:51
anything is possible. They are the true heroes,
10:53
and we couldn't be more proud to celebrate them.
10:55
A huge thank you to everyone
10:57
who made tonight possible,
10:59
from the headline sponsor, Trade Centre Wales,
11:01
to all the event partners and category sponsors.
11:03
Your support means the world,
11:05
especially to these young stars and their families.
11:07
And let's not forget
11:09
the incredible performances from
11:11
Beverley Knight, Amy Wodge, Steve Balsamo,
11:13
and Black Mountain Voices.
11:15
They made tonight even more magical.
11:17
So as we close this year's
11:19
World of Wales Awards, we leave with full hearts,
11:21
feeling uplifted and inspired
11:23
by the future these young people represent.
11:25
They're the leaders, innovators,
11:27
and changemakers of tomorrow,
11:29
and we know they'll continue to make us proud.
11:31
Thank you all for watching,
11:33
and for celebrating along with us.
11:35
We hope you've been as moved by these stories
11:37
as we have. Until next time,
11:39
goodnight!
