What is the status of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' investigation into the leak of Malaysian-Chinese diplomatic documents
00:06
on 21 August 2024, where the Philippine Daily Inquirer reported that there was a letter of objection
00:15
sent to the Malaysian Embassy in China,
00:17
accusing the Chinese of being hostile to Malaysia,
00:19
so that they immediately stopped the oil drilling activities in Sarawak.
00:23
Secondly, what is the government's stance on the extraordinary hostilities
00:29
carried out by the Pulau Pinang government
00:31
against the 1,000 ships and cadets of the Chinese Navy?
00:39
Because this sends a wrong message to the public,
00:43
and we also see that this is very sensitive to the ongoing issues
00:48
and the presence of military assets in Pettinggali.
00:53
In terms of health, we are still conducting an in-depth examination,
01:00
because documents like this should not be considered a public document.
01:06
Usually, our documents have a watermark when we receive them,
01:13
but the documents issued do not have a watermark.
01:16
So, we do not know where, if in our rank, there must be a watermark.
01:23
So, we will conduct an in-depth examination,
01:26
whether it is issued by other parties other than the Embassy
01:31
or the Malaysian government.
01:34
Secondly, regarding the extraordinary hostilities,
01:39
we do not say extraordinary hostilities,
01:41
but extraordinary hostilities carried out by the Pulau Pinang government
01:45
in accordance with the 50-year diplomatic relationship between Malaysia and China,
01:52
and in the meantime, it is the port on call of the Pulau Pinang and Sripengusi.
01:59
So, this has been approved by the Ministry of Defense.
02:06
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs only gave a diplomatic permission
02:10
for the ship to enter our territory and dock there.
02:15
The rest is a matter of the state government.
02:18
But the diplomatic request from the Chinese Embassy
02:23
clearly requested these things to make a visit to schools
02:30
specializing in teaching Confucianism and others.
02:34
So, this has been handled by the Ministry of Defense.
02:40
And the rest, we hope that if there is any violation of what they asked for,
02:50
it will be investigated.
02:51
But so far, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
02:54
clearly what was requested during the diplomatic request,
02:59
all of them did not violate any of our country's regulations.
