Carol Vorderman issues health update after recent hospital scare

Carol Vorderman has given a major health update after a recent medical scare.The presenter, 63, last week revealed that she'd quit her LBC radio show after she had experienced 'burnout' and found herself in hospital overnight.The TV star admitted she had worked herself too hard after working seven days in a row for several weeks repeatedly and has made the decision to step back, after getting her own show on the station last year.

00:00Hello gang, some news. I had a little bit of a health scare about two weeks ago and

00:10I hit burnout basically. I've been working seven days a week for I don't know how long

00:16and I got to London, yet again, I don't live in London, with my suitcase and I felt very

00:23unwell and I had a tight feeling in my chest and I was utterly exhausted again. Anyway,

00:32I ended up in hospital for checks, which were all fine, absolutely fine, but my family have

00:40given me a good talking to, so have my friends and have said, no more seven day working weeks.

00:48So, very, very sadly, something had to go and I'm very fed up about it, but I have made the

01:00decision that I can no longer do my Sunday show on LBC, which is a very hard decision to come to,

01:12but I couldn't see anything else that I could do, that's the truth. So, I'm carrying on being a part

01:22of the LBC family and I'll be popping in from time to time, but I just want to say thank you

01:28for all of your support over the last year and it's been fantastic and the ratings and everything

01:35have been fantastic. So, thank you very much, it's just one of those things and I'm very sad

01:45about it, but I shall be continuing to make mischief, but just not seven days a week in future.
