Ukraine's Zelenskyy meets Pope Francis as he continues European tour to push 'victory plan'

After their private meeting, Francis gave Zelenskyy a bronze plaque with an inscription reading, "Peace is a fragile flower".

00:00Extensive further military aid to Ukraine was announced by the German Chancellor during

00:06a visit by Ukrainian President Zelensky.

00:10Zelensky had previously visited London, Paris and Rome on a tour of Europe to present allies

00:16with the so-called victory plan for a just peace.

00:19Until the end of the year, we will also provide our partners Belgium, Denmark and Norway

00:27with additional military aid in the amount of around 1.4 billion euros to Ukraine.

00:46Zelensky was initially set to present the plan at a summit with US President Biden,

00:51but it was cancelled after Biden said he had to deal with an incoming hurricane.

00:57Zelensky also stopped by the Vatican for a meeting with Pope Francis.
