00:05Today, the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits were opened.

00:20The 44th and 45th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits were formally opened here in LAO-Vienna

00:28at the LAO People's Democratic Republic.

00:31ASEAN Enhancing Connectivity and Resilience is the theme of the ASEAN Summit this year.

00:4110 ASEAN State Countries or State Member Countries were invited.

00:45Timor-Leste is the observer of the opening ceremony at the National Convention Center.

00:51President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza Aranata Marcos, and other ASEAN leaders were present.

00:58It was followed by a plenary and retreat session.

01:01Issues in the ASEAN region and countries outside the region are the agenda of the two summits.

01:07Today, President Marcos is expected to give a speech at the ASEAN retreat session,

01:12Inter-Parliamentary Assembly, and a summit with the Business Advisory Council and ASEAN Youth.

01:19The Executive Board will also be present at the Business Investment Summit.

01:24Three bilateral meetings between Canada, New Zealand, and Japan will be held in the next few days.

01:31President Marcos' Angelique Layo encouraged the interest of the Philippines in ASEAN,

01:36such as maintaining peace and security.

01:41Strengthening our economy and improving the well-being of every Filipino.

01:46The fight against climate change, natural and man-made calamities,

01:52transnational crime, and economic downturns will be discussed.

01:55The position of the Philippines as the most dynamic and best-performing economy in ASEAN

02:05President Marcos' participation in the ASEAN Summit is important

02:39The President assured that the government is focusing on the safety and well-being of our countrymen

02:45in the Middle East in the face of tensions between Israel and Hezbollah.
