Brandon Tierney & Sal Licata are joined by former Jet Willie Colon to discuss the Jets decision to fire Robert Saleh.
Transcript
00:00What were your initial thoughts when you heard Sala got fired?
00:03I was shocked.
00:04I didn't see this coming.
00:05I don't think anybody saw this coming.
00:06I don't think Robert Sala saw this coming from all reports that he showed
00:09up after the loss against the Vikings Monday, did his normal job, talked to
00:13the team, reviewed the tape, came in Tuesday and was ready to go to work
00:17and prepare for the Bills and he got the knock on the door.
00:19So I think I'm shocked.
00:22You know, listen, even Adam Gates made it through the season.
00:24I thought he was a dumpster fire.
00:26So to see, to see Robert Sala, who I think, you know, if you split
00:31them in half, the person, the human being is a great man.
00:33I've had multiple conversations with him.
00:35Great guy.
00:36From the coaching standpoint.
00:39Listen, defensively, they're up to par.
00:41I mean, they're a top five, top 10 defense.
00:43On the offensive side, they're just, they're just, they're, they're not
00:46good and they look stagnant and this is with Aaron Rodgers and this is
00:50with Aaron Rosen and this is with two stud running backs and a revamped
00:54offensive line.
00:54So the question is, all right, what does fire fire Robert salad due to
00:59this office?
00:59How does this spark?
01:00How does it get this in the right direction?
01:01And I don't think anybody has an answer that to that right now.
01:05I think if you, if anybody I thought was to be fired, wasn't the thing
01:08you hack it.
01:09And so the fact that hack has a job and solid doesn't is a wild moment.
01:14I don't, I don't know what to take about take of it.
