Jets Owner Woody Johnson releases a statement on the firing of his head coach. Leroy tries to talk some sense into his boy Woody and entertain the idea of Bill Belichick.

00:02They have fired Robert Sala.

00:04I have a statement from owner Woody Johnson.

00:12That's what this morning I had for Robert Sala that he will no longer serve

00:16as the head coach of the Jets.

00:17I thanked him for his hard work these past three and a half years

00:20and wished him and his family well moving forward.

00:23This was not an easy decision, but we are not where we should be

00:27And I believe now is the best time for us to move in a different direction.

00:30Jeff Oldbrook will serve as the interim head coach for the remainder of the season.

00:35He is a tough coach who has the respect of the coaches and players in this team.
