00:00I've played in the NBA longer than he's been alive

00:03So he understands the nuances of it

00:06As far as just being around the game

00:07But now he's a man

00:09And it's time for him to learn

00:10And get better with that

00:25I want to coach the Lakers

00:28I want to coach the team

00:29I don't want to dispel anything

00:31I don't

00:32I want to become a great coach in the NBA

00:35And I want to win championships

00:37And I want my players to maximize their careers

00:40That's all I f**king care about

00:41It's different

00:43By him being a first-time coach and head coach

00:46So that's a little different

00:47But the principles that he was

00:50And the schemes that he

00:51Wanted to bring into our organization

00:55Just kind of stood out to me

00:57Everyone in this building is cognizant of the fact

00:59That he's almost 40

01:02But when we watch the pick-up games

01:05He's going full tilt

01:08He's on the court, he's going

01:09So in some ways, I think sometimes

01:12We maybe have to save him from himself

01:14That's remarkable

01:15That's unheard of

01:16And you've got to tip your heart off to a guy like LeBron

01:20If we're able to keep his nose clean

01:23Stay focused

01:27Be able to work with your son

01:28I think that's one of the greatest things

01:30That a father could ever hope for or wish for

01:32So it's pretty cool

01:33It's awesome

01:35It's historic, it's powerful

01:37Just trying to keep that routine up and being myself

01:41But also, you know, taking the time to

01:44Tune out all the noise and tune out all the people

01:47That, you know, don't think I should be here

01:50Obviously the main focus is staying healthy

01:53Staying on the floor

01:54The rest, as far as individual accolades

01:56And things like that, I just let it take care of itself

01:58As accomplished as you've been as a player defensively

02:01What parts of that game do you think

02:03You don't get enough appreciation for?

02:06All of it

02:08The expectation is the championship

02:09And so it's my job, it's our staff's job

02:11It's Rob's job, it's all of us

02:14To deliver a championship-caliber team

02:19That's what I signed up for
