00:02In this video, I will explain the ending of Once Upon a Star, so, let's begin.

00:06Once Upon a Star follows a traveling pharma-cinema troupe to entertain villages and small towns

00:10throughout Thailand during the 1960s, live-dubbing films from different genres.

00:15Here's everything you need to know about the ending, just to let you know this video will

00:18contain spoilers.

00:20A traveling pharma-cinema troupe of Osodhapayada Company Limited, consisting of Manit, Man,

00:25and Kao, is struggling with poor collections since they lack the proper funds and equipment.

00:30Their only live-dubbing artist and the head of the group, Manit has to deliver the female

00:33characters' voices too, and that clearly tends to dissociate the viewers.

00:38They decide to get a new dubbing artist, a woman.

00:41Ruanki is their answer and she quickly proves to be just the addition they needed to turn

00:45around their sales.

00:46However, their rival cinema troupe, Kampanat, poses a challenge they find difficult to contend

00:51with.

00:52Meanwhile, both Manit and Kao fall for Ruanki and agree to not fight over her.

00:56However, they do just that when Kao begins getting envious of Kae and Manit's growing

01:00proximity.

01:02Ruanki finds out about it and is disappointed in the two.

01:05Manit falls ill which brings him and Kao closer again as they reconcile.

01:09However, they are dealt another blow as Thailand's excellent revered movie star, Mare Chyabanka

01:14passes away.

01:15Manit, who idolized Chyabanka the most, is gutted while the rest of the troupe is shaken

01:19up as well.

01:21This means they can't meet the company's target sales numbers, but since this could be their

01:25last tour, Manit decided to give it their all.

01:28At the Tan Kratop festival, they have a rematch with Kampanat, and their genuine emotions

01:32for the movie star, coupled with the ones they've experienced later among them, surface

01:35to make for one moving screening.

01:38Once Upon a Star ends with the group bidding farewell to each other as some stay and continue

01:41the troupe while others move on to their individual pursuits.

01:45Who does Ruanki end up with?

01:47Ruanki is the newest member of the traveling pharma-cinema troupe of the Osodhapayada Company

01:51Ltd.

01:53She's the only woman in a unit of four.

01:55However, she lies to the other men in order to avoid any of the usual lustful or romantic

01:59trappings that come with working with men, telling others that she has had syphilis,

02:03thanks to her ex-husband.

02:05While that is a lie, what's not is that she was in a relationship before, with Sak, the

02:09head of the rival cinema troupe called Kampanat.

02:12She also becomes very distrustful of men after her separation.

02:16Meanwhile, Manit and Kau still fall for her and come to an agreement that they'll not

02:20fight over her but see who she falls for between the two of them.

02:23However, Kau soon comes to observe Kay and Manit getting closer and grows envious, lashing

02:27out at Manit later and also asking Kay if she likes Manit.

02:31She denies it and returns the typewriter Manit got for her, while Manit reminds him of their

02:35agreement.

02:37Kau claims Manit used his position as a boss to grow closer to Kay, who overhears them

02:41fighting and lashes out at both of them.

02:43The experience embitters them all and both Kau and Kay decide to leave the troupe soon.

02:48However, before they do, they all reconcile and have a very successful last tour.

02:53At the end of Once Upon a Star, Manit and Ruanqi are working together but nothing that

02:57suggests they're romantically together as well is included.

03:01Does Kau leave the troupe?

03:02Yes, Kau does end up leaving the troupe.

03:05He has always had a dream of acting in the movies but transitioning from dubbing troupe

03:09to movies is tough.

03:10Thankfully, he has the guidance and teaching from Ruanqi and the support of his troupe

03:14to sharpen his line deliveries and work on expressions.

03:18At the end of Once Upon a Star, Kau has become an actor and works as an extra in the movies.

03:22He's thriving, frequently writes to Ruanqi and keeps in touch with Man and Manit.

03:27Meanwhile, Man wins a lottery and that helps him and Manit get a whole new truck.

03:32Additionally, their career in dubbing for films gears up for another spell.

03:36Does Ruanqi become a secretary?

03:39Ruanqi always wanted to become a secretary.

03:42If not that, she'd be happy to be an office clerk.

03:45She needs a typewriter to save money before she goes on to begin working on her dream.

03:50With the typewriter gifted to her by Manit and other fellas, she begins to work at Fran

03:54Nacon, mastering the typewriting skills.

03:56However, her love for cinema and dubbing remains alive in her.

04:00At the end of Once Upon a Star, she is writing about her own experiences working and living

04:04with the Pharma Cinema Troupe.

04:07As for work, she decides to find what she loves before chasing dreams.

04:11And so she works as a dubbing artist, and then the last shot of the movie zooms out

04:14on a cinema hall where the film Kainaa is being premiered, dubbed by Namit and Ruanqi.
