00:00The Bureau of Internal Revenue raided four big illegal cigarette factories in Clark, Pampanga.

00:08According to BAR Commissioner Romeo Lumagi Jr.,

00:12the tax liabilities of four manufacturers were discovered to be worth P8 billion.

00:17This was the biggest operation against the company of illicit cigarettes

00:23that started this September.

00:25This was followed by the call of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

00:29to stop the illegal smuggling of tobacco in the country.

00:33Lumagi also added that they will not protect the livelihoods of legitimate tobacco farmers.

00:40Meanwhile, the manufacturers are under investigation

00:44for violating the National Internal Revenue Code.
