00:40Here's my hot take of the day.

00:41Yep. Is Alex Van Pelt was trying to do what he could

00:45to save Jacoby Percet's job yesterday.

00:48They did too much and he cost him his job.

00:51That was not a game where Jacoby Percet should have thrown it 34 times

00:55based on how effective the run game was when they actually ran it.

00:58And based on the score, like throughout the entire game, they either had the lead

01:01or they were down by, you know, a possession or less than a possession.

01:05Yep. So if they just say Percet threw for a buck, 15

01:09didn't turn it over, which he didn't.

01:11And Ramondre and Gibson combined for 200 rushing yards

01:15and they win the game 17-15.

01:19Probably fewer calls for the job. Yeah.

01:21I mean, I think some like you and I, maybe Wiggy are still like,

01:24how about the guy like, you know, the offense isn't great.

01:26But a win changes so many things, like a win is so much different.

01:29Instead, you have the fire drill ending where the veteran quarterback

01:34is supposed to know all the, you know, down distance time,

01:38throwing it in the middle of the field without any timeouts left,

01:40just so you can get a completion for nothing.

01:42By the way, for a borderline tenure vet in the NFL, it's eight years or whatever it is.

01:46But a guy who's been in the league going on a decade, he doesn't know

01:49you can't throw across the middle of the field.

01:50And also, I'm not saying he was wrong at any point, but for Mark Sanchez,

01:54of all people, a color commentator, to just be like ripping him throughout the game.

01:57He's like, you got to get the ball out quicker.

01:59He's like, man, he's got time back there.

02:01That guy's open. Three steps. It's got to be out.

02:03That guy's open. Can't throw across.

02:04Like Mark Sanchez is, Mark Sanchez.

02:07Yeah, Sanchez is ripping, and he's 100% right.

02:11There was a ton of those those situations.

02:13So the last two weeks, it has really stood out that the quarterback

02:19wasn't making plays and also, you know, kind of hurt the team.

02:23Yeah, whereas before you're like, all right, like good enough.

02:25Remember, we would push back with some that would say what an unbelievable job

02:29he did. It's like, that's too strong. Yeah, he was good enough.

02:32He's a miracle worker out there. That was good enough for me.

02:34Yeah, the last two weeks, not so much.

02:36And it's the only position on the entire team

02:40that you have a guy with all that upside just sitting there.

02:43Yeah, like any other one in four team that had any other player like that

02:46at any position would probably try them to see what kind of spark it could lead to.
