00:12I don't think you can really anticipate something like Dawson's Creek,

00:16because when it hit, it hit really hard.

00:18We didn't have to really go in there and scrap,

00:20and all of a sudden it was just like, boom! It's ridiculous. It's crazy.

00:23And while technically his breakout role was playing the lovable Pacey Witter

00:27on Dawson's Creek for six seasons,

00:29Josh has actually been on screen since he was just a kid,

00:32appearing in The Mighty Ducks in 1992.

00:35You can't walk out on the ducks. We're your team.

00:37We were with him on set of the 1998 horror hit Urban Legend,

00:41where he told us early success made it difficult for him to get more mature roles.

00:45Nobody knows it, but this is my tenth feature film.

00:47I've been doing this, knock on wood, for a while,

00:49but the problem that I was coming up against is that people only knew me as a child.

00:57And at six foot one with a deep voice,

00:59it's really hard to play somebody's son or somebody's younger brother.

01:03So Dawson's Creek was what took me on to the next level,

01:06and now it's up to me to see whether or not I can actually thrive as a young adult

01:10as opposed to just a child.

01:11And thrive he did, immediately landing parts in huge films

01:15like Cruel Intentions and Ocean's Eleven.

01:17Why were you in prison?

01:19I stole things.

01:21It's excellent. It's about the coolest movie I've ever seen.

01:24And now Dr. Odyssey has everyone buzzing about Josh all over again.
