00:00I'm not abandoning my children.

00:02They have betrayed me.

00:04Inadvertently, maybe.

00:05But they're kids and they're trying to-

00:07No, they're adults.

00:08They're your kids, though.

00:10I know.

00:10Oh, I'm having a hard time not, like, feeling like

00:15losing respect for you a little bit.

00:19The Brown family just got two new members,

00:22but will the arrival of the twins bring everyone closer together?

00:25In this week's episode of Sister Wives,

00:28fans get to see McKelty adjust to life at home with her twins.

00:32But although tensions are still high between Christine and Robin,

00:35Janelle is happy that Robin was there to help McKelty

00:37after she got back from the hospital.

00:39I'm really grateful that, you know, Robin could be there

00:41and she really was helpful, it sounds like,

00:44especially with those first few hours.

00:48I can remember when Logan was born,

00:50Christine was brand new in the family.

00:52She and Cody had just married a few months ahead.

00:54And I remember Christine keeping Logan for me one night.

00:57And that was the most awesome thing,

00:59because, like, I could sleep.

01:00And so having somebody do that while you're at home

01:03in your own bed resting is huge.

01:07Look, I will say, when it comes to the kids,

01:09we really hope that we can all co-parent together peacefully.

01:13Although Christine still isn't comfortable with Robin being around,

01:16Robin and Cody hope that the twins' arrival

01:19will help bring them closer to the rest of the family.

01:21The family's in a weird place,

01:23as I guess you would expect from a divorce.

01:26The struggles that we have had have been so foreign

01:30from what our family was.

01:33It's been such a sweet experience being a part of all of this

01:37and being there at the hospital

01:41and helping taking care of the babies

01:43and getting to bond with them.

01:47And I just really love being a grandma.

01:52I'm having a very difficult time

01:54connecting with all of my kids.

01:56And, of course, twins being born

01:58is going to give us all something special,

02:01something maybe that heals,

02:04helps to, you know, move things forward.

02:07The twins were born right before Thanksgiving,

02:09which was the first time the Brown family

02:11was completely apart for that holiday.

02:13And as a rift continues between Cody and his kids,

02:16tensions are brewing between Cody and Robin

02:19as they got in an explosive fight

02:22about his relationship with his family.

02:24I just don't understand why you're not, like,

02:28like, just talking to the kids as much as you can.

02:30Like, I just don't know why you're not

02:32reaching out to them more.

02:35This has been going on for so long.

02:37They're trash-talking.

02:38Well, they're hurting.

02:40Robin, you saw how they were at the wedding.

02:45I recently went to a family wedding.

02:47The whole family was there.

02:48There was so much animosity from some of my family.

02:52There's a couple of my kids

02:53wouldn't even engage me at the wedding,

02:55some of them wouldn't even talk to me.

02:57But some of the kids have flat-out rejected me.

02:59I know.

02:59You saw Madison take her kids

03:01and scuttle them away from me.

03:03Yeah, I saw.

03:04She never told me she was pregnant.

03:05She never told me she was going to have a baby.

03:08Although Cody claims the kids are icing him out,

03:11Janelle says not quite.

03:13The only thing the kids are upset with him

03:15is the way he has treated his family,

03:17the way he has completely, like, ditched out.

03:20And really, Maddie doesn't have any contact with him.

03:22She is very protective of her children.

03:24Cody has not been there since Evie was born.

03:27And Evie's three and a half.

03:29And she didn't want him to just drop in and, like, be like,

03:32oh, I'm your grandpa, and then be like, what?

03:35Who is this guy?

03:36Like, you know what I mean?

03:37It's unrealistic expectation for grandparents

03:39to be in their grandchildren's lives all the time,

03:41especially if you move your children

03:46to an entirely different coast.

03:48I have work and a life in Flagstaff.

03:51They're purposefully leaving me out of their lives

03:55to punish me for a crime I did not commit.

03:59But Cody's estranged relationship with his kids

04:02is hitting close to home for Robin.

04:05You know that my biological father did not.

04:07I know.

04:08And do what he was supposed to as far as a dad is concerned.

04:11Yeah, but I've not been doing that.

04:15I'm not abandoning my children.

04:17They have betrayed me.

04:19Inadvertently, maybe.

04:20But they're kids, and they're trying to.

04:22No, they're adults.

04:23They're your kids, though.

04:24I know.

04:25They're still young.

04:26But they have animosity.

04:27I do not want to talk to a person

04:29who sits there with so much contempt.

04:33They need you.

04:34They can have me.

04:36They just don't need to treat me like crap to get me.

04:40They are purposefully leaving me out of their lives

04:43to punish me for a crime I did not commit.

04:47And turns out the situation is impacting

04:50how Robin sees Cody.

04:52Oh, I'm having a hard time not, like,

04:56feeling like losing respect for you a little bit.

05:00It's just, I'm trying to be careful and being honest, but.

05:03Robin, did I, do you know of something I did wrong?

05:07Besides not falling madly in love with their mothers?

05:10Oh, every, okay, I'm sorry,

05:12but there's two sides to all of it, okay?

05:14I know that you weren't perfect in those marriages.

05:17They weren't either, okay?

05:18I'm not, but I'm not, I don't think,

05:21Let's go from there.

05:22But every one of those kids who has shut me out

05:26is blaming me for what happened, or you,

05:31which is a bunch of crap.

05:32And I don't need to sit down with them

05:34and have to defend you.

05:36But Cody doesn't think he's to blame.

05:38This argument, this disparity in relationship

05:43with my children is specifically, in my mind,

05:48because of talk.

05:50There's this whirlwind of disappointment

05:53from the family breaking up or whatever.

05:56And it's like, well, blame dad.

05:58Dad screwed up.

06:00Right, I did screw up.

06:04I gave up.

06:06I gave up on love because it wasn't enough love.

06:08And I'm pretty sure they're gonna say that's dad's fault.

06:13And well, you can blame me and I'm fine.

06:17Just don't bring contempt to our conversation.

06:21I'm so angry about what has happened

06:24that if I talk to my kids,

06:26I'm worried that they'll trigger me with an accusation.

06:30Really, I'll be honest with you.

06:32I don't have the bandwidth yet to go to God in gratitude

06:38and try and fill my love tank with the spirit of God.

06:41I'm just bitter right now.

06:43Okay, I'm not gonna argue with you anymore.

06:45I'm too hot-headed right now, Robert.

06:47All I'll do is more damage.

06:48Okay, I just want to know you're trying, okay?

06:51Okay.

06:52Because these relationships do need to get mended.

06:56You know what, Robert?

06:57We've had such a struggle with this.

07:00I'd almost rather just take some time

07:02to get in a better place with you and me

07:04because I've been in this place for a very, very long time

07:07and it's hurt us more than it's hurt them.

07:10As Robin and Cody are going head-to-head,

07:12Christine is falling in love with her now-husband, David.

07:16We've been talking for like a month.

07:19I signed up for a dating website

07:21that is for people with kids.

07:25It's crazy, I'm so excited.

07:26The first time that I got on, I met David.

07:29His pictures were beautiful.

07:31It was him with these eyes.

07:33Pictures do not do him justice.

07:34His eyes were beautiful.

07:36And I told him, oh my gosh,

07:37we're walking into the restaurant and I go,

07:39I just have to tell you,

07:40I think your eyes are beautiful just like that.

07:43And so we met up at a breakfast place

07:45and we sat down at a table and he's like,

07:48this is kind of far away, let's get closer to each other.

07:50I'm like, okay.

07:51So we scooted our chairs closer to each other

07:54and we just started talking about everything.
