Tunisia's previous two elections have been praised for meeting democratic norms since

But recent actions, such as arrests made by Saied-appointed officials, raised questions

Democracy advocates have been urging the European Union to put more pressure onto the government.

But since migration has drastically fallen since the recent deal with the EU and Tunisia
