Thousands of protesters took to the streets in major cities around the world on Oct 5 and Oct 6 demanding an end to the bloodshed in Gaza and the wider Middle East as the start of Israel's war in the Palestinian enclave approaches its first anniversary. 00:00I think people care, but you've got to remember, since 1948, thousands upon thousands of Palestinians

00:22have been killed, displaced, starved to death in a perpetual apartheid.

00:27Yes, I have sympathy for those who died on October 7th, but I also have sympathy for

00:32those who continue to die since 1948 for Palestine.

00:36While this doesn't happen in a vacuum, the occupation, the apartheid that has been going

00:43on in Israel, the Palestinian people, the siege of Gaza, the absolute, the illegal settlements,

00:51the brutality in the West Bank, it has to stop.
