Law Roach is getting candid about his love life. The 46-year-old image architect — who was joined by Keke Palmer and Normani during an Oct. 2 panel discussion about his new book How to Build a Fashion Icon: Notes on Confidence from the World's Only Image Architect — revealed during the conversation that he's "never craved" the type of love that may come from a partner.

00:00The romantic love thing, I just, it's something that I've never, you know some people go to bed
00:05and they dream about, you know, finding that significant other or that person that makes them
00:09whole or somebody to hold during the night. Like, I've never prayed that type of love.
00:15Like, I truly believe that I was put on this earth to be adored and for people to love me
00:21in a different type of way. Now, that being said, if the universe wants to bless you with a man
00:26that's, you know, a billionaire or very close to it.
00:32You know, my heart is open for that prayer.
00:36But I just never felt like that was my calling and that's okay.
00:40It's just the same way, like, all women don't crave to be mothers, right? And that's okay.
00:46And so it just was, it just was never my calling. And when I, and even when I got a chance to retire
00:52and have some time to self-reflect, I kind of still felt the same type of way.
00:56You know, like for me, I need like, you know, a glass of wine, good sex, and a nap.
01:02It's really beautiful what you're saying because I think many of us are speaking about that.
01:06Like, obviously, you know, we're having conversations that we haven't always been
01:08able to have. But the idea, you know, the rom-com idea that this romantic love is the
01:14love that you're looking for that's going to make you whole has now become more really about
01:19the love that you have for yourself. Absolutely. It's going to make you whole.
01:23I think we're all looking up to that. You know, like, I see love in my community, whatever that is.
