00:00Meanwhile, hog farmers and swine industry groups have asked President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.
00:05to approve the emergency use of African swine fever or ASF vaccines from Vietnam.
00:11They want the ASF outbreak declared a national emergency to enable mass vaccination.
00:17Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tullo-Aurel, Jr. said they will review the request. The ASF
00:23vaccine has shown positive results in trials with piglets in Lobo Batangas,
00:28showing 40% antibody levels. If approved, about 6.3 million piglets could be vaccinated,
00:36helping the swine industry recover. The Basis Conversion and Development Authority, or BCDA,
00:44partnered with Australian firm AMSL Aero to explore hydrogen-powered vertical take-off
00:50and landing, or VTOL, aircraft or flying cars in the Philippines. They will start a feasibility
00:57study on using these aircraft on BCDA properties, aiming to improve transportation between the
01:04country's islands. BCDA also plans to establish hydrogen plants. ASML Aero seeks to invest in
