Taipei Fine Arts Museum Exhibition Focuses on Women's Inner Lives

"Enclave: An Autobiography," an exhibition featuring 100 works by 28 female artists, has opened at the Taipei Fine Arts Museum.

00:00Here at Taipei Fine Arts Museum, a new exhibit has opened, one that showcases female artists.

00:06It's called Enclave and Autobiography, and features more than 100 works of art from 28 artists.

00:11Enclave and Autobiography is a phenomenon that often occurs in women's literature.

00:18Many female artists use the method of self-writing to learn more about themselves.

00:26Female artists do the same.

00:42The first is titled Silent, made of cotton, strands of hair, and hidden needles,

00:47bringing together the idea of beauty and pain.

00:50The other, titled Between Stops, is made of glass and compressed feathers, a reference to her dreams.

01:11Chen is happy to showcase her work alongside the other artists,

01:19in a space where women can freely express their ideas together.

01:23The exhibit will run at Taipei Fine Arts Museum until December.
