04:50While they might not be exactly like their characters,

04:53the on-screen dynamic between Charles, Oliver and Mabel

04:56is reflected in real life.

05:03but all come from a heartfelt place.

09:35might have been reserved for J.D. Vance.

09:39what an honor it is to work with two guys

09:42who are this far away from being childless cat ladies.

09:48Martin and Short were visibly proud

09:50of Gomez's first acting nomination that year.

10:34I'll do it if Marty does it.

10:36His longtime buddy Short was on board,

10:38but it was suggested that the trio

10:39include a young woman as well.

10:41Gomez's name came up,

10:42and soon enough,

10:43all three were on a Zoom call.

10:45Yet Gomez wouldn't meet Martin and Short

10:47in person until the first day of shooting.

10:49While the veteran comedians thought Gomez

10:51was, quote, fantastic,

10:52there was an underlying fear

10:54that she might turn out to be a, quote, diva.

10:56And then I saw you sitting in that makeup chair

10:58and you looked up at me and I went,

11:00we're home.

11:01Yeah, it's all going to be perfect.

11:03It's always been so good.

11:04The two were quickly won over

11:06upon officially meeting Gomez,

11:08who also felt instantly welcomed into the club.

11:10By day three, Gomez was having lunch

11:12with Short and Martin.
