00:00But Scott, it's been a disaster for Miami so far this season.

00:07Frankly, they haven't looked great even with Tua Tungvaluwa in the mix.

00:11But of course, that is the main concern, his health moving forward.

00:15There were reports on the broadcast last night he is no longer experiencing any

00:19symptoms from the concussion suffered in the second half against Buffalo in week two.

00:24That's great.

00:25His football future, he is still very determined to see.

00:28But there's a chance he doesn't come off the IR until week eight.

00:32Might that be too late for Miami to turn this season around?

00:37And it's not just a team, Scott, that was expected to reach the postseason.

00:41It was a team that this was the year.

00:43They had talked about it all offseason.

00:45They had already been in the playoffs each of the first two years with

00:47Mike McDaniel.

00:48This was the year to finally win a playoff game once again for

00:52the first time since 2000, nearly two and a half decades ago.

00:56That's the last Dolphins postseason victory in the National Football League.

01:01And now, Scott, it doesn't even really look like Miami is going to get the chance

01:04to snap that very long postseason winning drought.

01:07Yeah, speaking of snaps, we were all making fun of Carolina last year, right?

01:11Cuz they went the entire season without snapping a football in the fourth quarter

01:15with the lead because their two wins came on the last play of the game.

01:18Miami's yet to snap the football with the lead, period, in four games, Ben.

01:23They've not had the lead.

01:24Well, how's that possible, Scott?

01:25They won a game.

01:26That also was on the last play of the game against Jacksonville.

01:29So in four games, they have yet to snap the ball with the lead,

01:33which is just amazing, it really is.

01:36Also, too, you can say whatever you want about Huntley and

01:39Skyler Thompson and all this other stuff, right?

01:41They're all awful.

01:42But that's part of the problem also with Miami and Boy Wonder.

01:46If there was a team that ever needed a backup quarterback,

01:49it was gonna be Miami, right, with Tua being so susceptible.

01:53So the big question Dolphin fans have is how come there wasn't a backup quarterback?

01:58You knew this was a possibility.

02:00This is despite Tua playing the entire year last year, you had to know.

02:03I mean, Joe Flacco only got $4.5 million from Indianapolis.

02:09Can you imagine Joe Flacco with these weapons?

02:12You think they would be scoring 12 points or one touchdown in ten quarters?

02:15I don't think so.

02:16So I don't know how they went into the season not having a real backup.

02:20And as far as Tua, you're right, if they don't win these next games,

02:23they basically, Ben, to me, have one more bullet in their chamber with Tua.

02:27One more concussion, and then I don't know how they could look themselves in the mirror

02:32and put him back out there.

02:33And I don't know how his family could allow that.

02:35I don't know how Tua could allow that.

02:36So are you gonna use up that bullet this year if the Dolphins are one and seven?

02:42Even two and six, is it really worth it?

02:46Because if he gets another concussion this season,

02:49I don't know how they could bring him back.

02:50I mean, how many times can you rely on the poor guy?

02:52He's gonna get himself, and we say it as an expression,

02:55but this guy's gonna get himself maimed.

02:57I won't say killed.

02:58He's gonna get himself seriously, seriously hurt,

03:00and I don't know how they could look themselves in the mirror by doing that.

03:03So they got one more shot.

03:05They might just as soon hold off until next season.
