00:01There's the rolling loud music festival as you might have heard and the rapper DaBaby was performing and during his performance

00:07He made a pretty controversial and offensive statement

00:30So this is some pretty crazy shit to be saying at a concert in front of all your fans and people

00:35Recording it and live streaming it and stuff. I don't know what this guy was thinking

00:38I mean he either gives no fucks at all or he just doesn't understand the culture and realize that this could be career-ending shit

00:44Right here, but I just think he gives no fucks because he even doubled down on it

00:49But it's just really wild in today's culture to see a celebrity up on stage saying like really offensive stuff to AIDS victims and being

00:56Like openly homophobic and you could tell this was something that like he was thinking about saying

01:00It's not like something that accidentally slipped out or he like was trying to be funny or something like this actually seems like a malicious

01:07Statement towards AIDS victims and it's just a random and obviously totally unnecessary thing to say that

01:11You know, we'll just get yourself in trouble and I don't really follow rappers drama and like their beefs and everything

01:16But if I had to guess why he said something like this

01:19It's probably because of Lil Nas X and if you're not aware of who he is

01:22He's one of the biggest rappers right now and a big part of his image is being openly gay and he came out with a

01:27new music video like less than a week ago and it's very

01:30Provocative and he's dancing around with a bunch of naked dudes and the video is not something I want to watch but I have no

01:36problem if anyone else wants to watch it

01:38But I could definitely see how people that aren't that comfortable with gay people would watch it and like get triggered and upset by it

01:43Especially if you're in the rap industry as well

01:45So like I feel like all this just adds up like Lil Nas X is like the biggest rapper right now

01:50He's very openly gay and his music video just came out and then a few days later

01:55DaBaby makes a pretty offensive and homophobic comment towards AIDS victims

01:59So I feel like DaBaby is obviously upset with either like the direction

02:02He thinks rap is headed or just with like Lil Nas X himself

02:06So now I want to get to DaBaby's response video

02:08I guess you'd call it like it's definitely not an apology video because he probably makes himself look even worse here

02:14I'm gonna address this weak ass internet shit one time and I'm gonna get back to giving my love to my fans

02:40You're gonna be recorded like it's gonna go on the internet. People are gonna have their opinions on it. Like there's no stopping that

03:03It's funny cuz I always say that if you want to put an end to cancel culture

03:06The celebrities who get canceled for like doing nothing need to like just stand their ground and say that they did nothing wrong

03:12But in this case like I think this guy probably should have apologized or like definitely not made this video

03:18But I do think it's interesting to see someone who has like such a taboo opinion in today's culture

03:22Like just stand by it and like double down on it

03:25I mean, he obviously doesn't need to apologize and he could just do whatever the hell he wants, which is what he's doing

03:30I mean, he's standing his ground and I do not like what he said

03:32But at this point if he doesn't want to apologize and change his opinion, what are you gonna do?

03:37You just gotta let the market decide if they want to keep listening to him or not

04:20Shows he just looks like such an idiot and sounds like he doesn't know what the hell he's talking about

04:24And I think that might help him a little bit because when people watch this video

04:27They're probably just gonna be like this guy's fucking stupid like he doesn't know what the hell

04:31He's talking about like someone needs to educate him on these things

04:34I don't know

04:34I guess we're just have to wait and see how the public reacts to him over time because it sounds like he's definitely not backing
