It's very similar to the way we want to play in Test Cricket, to be honest.
00:04
It's just always looking to try and put the ball under pressure and make that change.
00:10
Obviously, we're a very experienced side.
00:12
Like I said the other day, we're actually the lead in run score, I think, in ODIs in this team.
00:17
We're still learning as we go along. I think everybody is in international sport.
00:24
Obviously, we've got this new mantra, which is very similar to the Test side.
00:29
So, I think, obviously, having that change and new players coming in and young players coming in and playing,
00:36
just trying to figure that out as well.
00:39
Brook then explained what he meant by the side's new mantra.
00:45
Very similar to the Test side, as you've probably heard a million times,
00:48
but look to put the pressure back on the ballers and circle pressure when needed.
00:56
Look to take wickets throughout and work towards wickets and, in the field, chase the ball back to the man.
01:01
I think you've just got to, as a batsman, you've got to try and take that risk a little bit earlier in ODI cricket.
01:08
Similarly to T20 cricket, you've got to take it even earlier.
01:12
You've got to always look at options to try and put the ball back under pressure.
01:17
Then, with the ball, it's going to be a little bit different to Test cricket.
01:22
You obviously haven't got the swing or the seam movement,
01:24
so you've got to try and figure out different fields and bolt to different fields to try and create a chance.
01:30
Fearlessness is something that England's ODI side will hope will define them in years to come.
01:36
I think you've got to go out there and play fearlessly and almost have that who-cares attitude.
01:41
That's not a who-cares-if-we-lose attitude. It's still hope for the win.
01:46
But, yes, you don't want to go out there and have fear of getting out.
01:52
You've seen so many times in the Test environment the way people are getting out.
01:56
They start stoned if you get caught mid-off, which is unheard of before.
02:02
You've got to go out there and have that fearless attitude and try and take it to the ball.
02:07
Despite the transitional period, Adil Rashid believe that England are still a match for anyone.
02:13
Yes, obviously we are developing with new players coming in.
02:16
It is, like I say, a different process now, rebuilding.
02:19
But we've still got to believe in ourselves that we can beat any team in the world, whether it's Australia or India or whoever.
02:23
We still have that belief that we can come up, we play the way we play, we know we can beat any team.
02:28
But at this moment in time, yes, we're looking to still rebuild and hopefully hit some form as well along the way.
02:33
Rashid became the first English player to take 200 ODI wickets, but was adamant there was more to come.
02:39
It's a nice achievement, but for myself I don't really look at them achievements in that depth.
02:43
I still believe that hopefully for myself there's still a long way to go as opposed to just being happy with what I've got.
02:48
I'm still looking to strive as an individual, but also as a team.
02:51
We're looking to win tournaments, win series, win the World Cup, so that's my ultimate aim.
02:55
But to have that 200 is a nice milestone, but hopefully I can carry on.
