00:00What are verbs? Learn! A verb is a word that names an action. Jump, clean, fly, chase,

00:17dance, brush, kick, dig, laugh, cook, smile, talk. Action words or doing words tell us

00:35what a person or an animal is doing. All action words or doing words are verbs. Examples,

00:48a. I see a bird. b. Millie drinks water. c. We play hockey. d. Mother writes a letter.

01:05Sometimes we use s or es, two verbs, when they are used with singular nouns or pronouns.

01:18Examples, a. She plays guitar. b. Kavita sings sweetly. c. Payal watches cartoons.

01:33Verbs remain unchanged when they are used with plural nouns and pronouns. Examples,

01:43a. They play guitar. b. Radha and Kavita sing a song. c. We watch cartoons. Remember,

01:59with the pronouns I and you, verbs remain unchanged. Examples, a. I watch cartoons.

02:10b. You play football. Action words also tell us what animals do. Learn, how an animal moves.

02:23A rabbit hops. A horse gallops. A dog runs. A bird flies. A monkey jumps. A lion prowls.
