00:20Barangay Hinebra San Miguel made it to the final four of the PBA 49th Season Governors' Cup playoffs.

00:29After using the commanding 2-0 lead, Genkings did not hesitate to end the series in Game 3

00:37when they knocked down Meral Cubots last night with a score of 114-106.

00:42The reigning Rookie of the Year, Stephen Hood, scored for Barangay Hinebra,

00:47scoring 19 points, 70 bounces, and 5 assists,

00:51while 23 markers were scored by their resident in-court, Justin Brownlee.

00:57According to Hinebra Head Coach Tim Coon, he did not expect them to sweep Meral Cubots.

01:04First of all, I'm totally shocked that we were able to beat them in three straight games.

01:09Each game came, you know, it was a play here or a play there,

01:13would have changed the whole complexion of the game.

01:15Just credit goes to the guys for just really reaching deep.

01:18They really, as Stephen just said to me, they really locked in in the second half.

01:24In Game 2, a buzzer-beating shot from Alex Tuckton

01:29forced the Converge Fiverr Excers to get the 114-112 win in Game 3

01:36against San Miguel Berman.

01:38Converge's 27-point lead in the 4th quarter of the SMV entered

01:44to avoid a sweep and to get the first win in the PBA playoffs.

01:51Justin Arana led the Fiverr Excers with 23 points and 11 rebounds

01:57while Tuckton finished with 20 markers, 7 boards, and 8 assists.

02:02At the post-game press conference, Converge Head Coach Franco Achenza admitted

02:07that it's not easy to beat the next three SMVs.

02:11It's still far, this is just one of the three.

02:15When you think about it, it's hard that you have to beat that team three straight.

02:19But probably, we'll take it, one game first on next Friday.
