00:00Previously, on The Amazing Race, Celebrity Edition.
00:07The Namibian desert was no walk in the park.
00:10I'm in pain through my legs.
00:12All day, Forpy!
00:13Keep pushing, brother!
00:14Race favourites, the Matildas, came unstuck.
00:17Unfortunately, it was the first hill.
00:19In the race's biggest shock departure.
00:21You aren't eliminated.
00:22Your time on the race is over.
00:25It really sucks because I want to keep racing.
00:28But the surprises kept coming.
00:30Because it is a virtual pit stop.
00:32Oh my god!
00:34I've got to keep going.
00:36What a day it's been already.
00:38Tonight.
00:39It's like Ikea furniture, but 300 years ago.
00:41The top five continue to push through the toughest.
00:44Did I get you?
00:45Yeah.
00:46Longest.
00:49You see these boys struggling, you know it's harder.
00:52Come on!
00:53A day in Amazing Race history.
00:55I'm doing this for Christian and I want to do it for myself.
00:59Ending in a highly emotional pit stop.
01:25Go!
01:31Go!
01:36Go!
01:40Go!
01:55Now it may look like I'm standing on the edge of the world.
01:58But this inhospitable and barren coastline is one of the harshest environments on the planet.
02:03It's known for its turbulent currents washing whale bones to shore.
02:08Try to navigate it by boat and you could join the hundreds of shipwrecks that litter this saltwater graveyard.
02:15This is the Skeleton Coast.
02:17The incredible location for the eighth leg of the Amazing Race Australia.
02:21Our celebrities are heading towards this stunning coastline in the order they arrived at the previous pit stop.
02:32The race continues.
02:33Drive to the Skeleton Coast where you must build a stall.
02:36And lay out crystals for a local to sell for the day.
02:40With the country rich in diamonds and crystals, it's no surprise that minerals are Namibia's biggest export.
02:46And locals sell crystals at roadside stalls like this one.
02:49Which are built sturdy enough to protect them from the harsh environment.
02:54In this challenge, teams must build their own stall.
02:57Using the same construction techniques as the judge.
03:00Once their structure exactly matches in build and crystal layout, they'll receive their next clue.
03:06Get in!
03:10We were the first on the mat, so pretty stoked about that.
03:14But then we got hit with the…
03:15Still racing.
03:16Still racing.
03:17Still on that clock.
03:18It's already been a rather exhausting day that I was thinking, no way.
03:24But we are. We're still racing.
03:27Every day's been harder than the one before.
03:30We've just got to take one step at a time.
03:32Yeah, every day's really been hard.
03:35We're not going to lie.
03:36We're going to build a hut.
03:39I've done a few IKEA furniture things before.
03:42I can… I haven't built a hut.
03:47I feel like this could be in our wheelhouse, Reggie.
03:57Is this it up here, Lokes?
03:58Yeah.
03:59Alright, Lokes. Let's go.
04:01Pick a station.
04:03Pick a station? I think we've got to go next to the example hut.
04:06Yeah, alright.
04:07How are you, brother?
04:08How are you, brother?
04:10We're going to follow this.
04:12Tell me what to do.
04:14I'm here at your service.
04:15Lokes took the lead.
04:17Having that scaffold background surely helps.
04:20We'll tie this frame first.
04:22Get this frame.
04:23Yeah, yeah.
04:24It was all about building that foundation and making that formation.
04:30A lot of dedication.
04:31A lot of dedication.
04:35Just doing a bit of a…
04:38Fisherman's knot.
04:40Knot.
04:43Come on, mate.
04:46Wow.
04:47Let's go.
04:48Alright.
04:49We're seven hours in now, mate.
04:51I'm so sorry.
04:52I'm struggling at war.
04:53But, well, I've been in pain for a few days.
04:55I'm trying to rest whenever I can,
04:57which on the race there's not that much time to be able to do that.
05:00It won't stop.
05:01It's in my mind.
05:02I'm doing this for a charity at home.
05:04Reach Out Australia.
05:05There's a lot of people that are doing it tough.
05:07And Reach Out's there when there's no one else.
05:10So, mate, virtual pit stop there.
05:12Gives us another fresh start.
05:13We had one of these earlier.
05:14Yeah.
05:15And we actually did really well after it.
05:17So, I feel good about this now.
05:19Yep, there it is.
05:20Yep.
05:21Great stuff, hun.
05:22A clear start.
05:23OK, let's go.
05:25Just arrived.
05:26Just arrived.
05:27We've done well, mountain time.
05:29Smurfs are here.
05:30Brooke and Adam, the Smurfs.
05:32Let's get working.
05:33This is really testing the brain, isn't it, again?
05:35Yeah.
05:36Hello, Elias.
05:38Bridge, you might have to do this all for yourself.
05:41Let Pete set the crystals up and you build the hut.
05:46That's what I'm doing.
05:48I notice I get criticised sometimes for not helping Bridge at times.
05:52But that's because it's been 21 years of her saying,
05:55No, no, no, leave it to me.
05:58You're not really a man of the tools, though.
06:00No, I confess that.
06:04I feel like I'm doing something that I could potentially be OK at.
06:09I've seen you do this.
06:10It's like IKEA furniture, but like 300 years ago.
06:19It's a bit cooler here.
06:20Yeah.
06:21Better be a good hut.
06:22Good, strong hut.
06:23It's a nice, tall Osk.
06:25Yep.
06:26We're exhausted, we're tired.
06:27It's been a long day.
06:28Long day.
06:29Long day.
06:30And we've got to keep racing.
06:31We did actually think that Bam and Logan might be good to go off.
06:34Look, that looks pretty sturdy.
06:35They've done a good job.
06:37So we thought it might be smart to go kind of near them.
06:40Bam and Logan, they're out in front, so we want to chase them down.
06:43Keep going.
06:44It's got to be halfway here.
06:46We need to power through this challenge,
06:48because you know the other teams are so strong and competitive,
06:51especially so close to the end.
06:53We can only do our best.
06:55You all right, mate?
06:56Yep, I'm all right.
06:57Ah, Philby and Christian are here.
07:00The Tillys aren't here.
07:02Oh, what?
07:03That's it.
07:04This is five teams left.
07:05Holy crap, come on.
07:06Let's go.
07:07Shake it, shake it.
07:08This is it.
07:10I can't believe that.
07:11I thought they were going to win it.
07:13There's five teams left.
07:15And I thought the Tillys were going to, like, beat us.
07:19But they're gone.
07:20And it was sad.
07:21Do you know what that means?
07:22We've got a chance.
07:23We've got a better chance.
07:26But we're sad for the Tillys.
07:27But we've got a better chance.
07:28Yes.
07:29I'm just a bit shocked that the Tillys aren't here.
07:31Bloody oath.
07:32Proof that this race isn't just about physical.
07:36It's everything.
07:38This is good.
07:39I think we've done good.
07:41Ta-da!
07:42That looks good, Ben.
07:44Can we get a check, please?
07:45There it is.
07:51Very good.
07:52Very sturdy.
07:53You see?
07:54Boom, boom, boom.
07:56Number one.
07:57Oh, yeah, baby.
07:58Give us the good news, brother.
07:59Give us the good news.
08:00Good news.
08:02Yeah!
08:04Well done, boys.
08:07Thank you, brother.
08:09Good job, fellas.
08:11Good job, lads.
08:12Would you like to buy some crystals before you go?
08:14Crystals for sale.
08:15Crystals for sale.
08:16Get your crystals.
08:17Get your crystals.
08:20Route info.
08:22Head to the desert town of Swakopmund.
08:25You must use the below poem to find your next clue.
08:28Where the ocean leviathan leaves its mark beneath broken spline,
08:32lie treasures in the dark.
08:35In this test of smarts, teams will only find their next clue
08:38if they correctly interpret a poem.
08:41When teams twig that a leviathan is a giant sea creature,
08:45they'll know to search the hundreds of leviathan bones
08:48scattered on Swakopmund's main beach.
08:51Then they must figure out the poem points them to the spine
08:54and dig deep.
09:00You're definitely not a poetrist.
09:02I'm good with puzzles.
09:03I like figuring out shit.
09:05What puzzles have you done?
09:08This puzzle called life is...
09:13Oh my God!
09:20The further and further we get through Namibia,
09:23it seems to amaze me more and more.
09:27It's like beautiful weird.
09:29Yeah, the Germans colonised Namibia back in the day.
09:32There's a mixture of culture.
09:34History is crazy.
09:36Come on here, logs.
09:42So where's the poem?
09:43Here, it's here.
09:44Where the ocean leviathan leaves its mark beneath broken spline,
09:49lie treasures in the dark.
09:51What could it mean?
09:52Maybe we have to wait till the dark.
09:55I'm not waiting for the dark.
09:58It has to be the whale.
10:00Check under there.
10:01What's leviathan?
10:03I don't know.
10:05No, leviathan, I think it's like Aquaman.
10:09How did you get Aquaman out of leviathan?
10:11Who the hell is leviathan?
10:13Leviathan, where are you?
10:18I'll hold him in the middle.
10:19Just hold that there for now.
10:20They hang off there.
10:21Alright.
10:23So we're officially open for business.
10:25Officially open for business.
10:26Have you done all the crystals?
10:27No, not yet.
10:28Oh, go Hellions.
10:30That's a good stall.
10:31Thank you, you're great neighbours.
10:33Check please.
10:34No.
10:35No.
10:37We don't want those yells.
10:42Nice stall.
10:43Yeah, nice stall.
10:44The ocean, you come in, you feel the breeze.
10:46It's clean, tidy, it's welcoming.
10:55Everything has to replicate the other hut.
10:58Everything's looking good and my hut is sturdy.
11:00It's strong.
11:01I've used enough rope.
11:02It's not going to blow up.
11:03It's not strong.
11:04We think it's the crystals.
11:06Oh, this is right.
11:08I don't know, let's just move some things.
11:12Once you're done, I want to then have a look at how he's attached it at the top.
11:16Let's have a look.
11:18That one's underneath.
11:21This has to be under that.
11:22Yeah.
11:23Check please.
11:25Welcome to my crystals for sale.
11:28Yes!
11:30We'll have a check.
11:31It's good.
11:32It's good?
11:33Good!
11:34Thank God for that.
11:35Thank you, my friend.
11:37I'm not buying crystals from this place.
11:38We just felt like we were going backwards and everybody was passing us by.
11:41Okay.
11:43Beneath broken spine lies treasures in dark.
11:47Let's go.
11:49Check!
11:52It looks better.
11:53It does look better.
11:58Meta.
11:59Meta.
12:02There's a ticking clock.
12:04Now that the finish line is in sight, it feels like people are playing for keeps.
12:08I don't know what's going wrong here.
12:10We need to work this out and get back in the race.
12:21We're looking at the hut and trying to figure out what the difference was.
12:27Can't see anything different.
12:28Making it harder for us is a long, long day.
12:30It was the hardest day, I think, on the race.
12:33I'm sore.
12:34I'm tired.
12:36That comes underneath.
12:39Huh?
12:40This comes underneath.
12:42Yeah.
12:45So does that one.
12:46So does that one.
12:49So these come underneath.
12:51Oh, shit.
12:53My supporting poles were not underneath.
12:56They were on top.
12:59I'm very confident about this bridge.
13:03Check, please!
13:06Yeah!
13:08You're a hard taskmaster, sir. You really are.
13:11We've been mid to late pack the whole time.
13:15You must use the below pole to find your next clue.
13:18I think for a while we were just hoping to survive, and now we're in it to win it.
13:22We just have to play smart.
13:24Work smarter, not harder.
13:26We're the ocean leviathan.
13:30Yeah.
13:31We're the ocean leviathan.
13:33Is that like the ocean, like, break where it meets the sand?
13:38I'd imagine the leviathan is the bloody whale.
13:42So we're thinking maybe lie beneath, maybe under one of these bones or something.
13:53We don't really know.
13:57There's treasure in the dark.
14:01There's treasure in the dark.
14:04The only thing that was in the dark was us.
14:08I don't know what we're missing.
14:10Well, it's up there, hun.
14:11Cool.
14:12Let's go.
14:13Block the car.
14:14Yep, I will.
14:19Okay.
14:20There's a little flag there.
14:21We are essentially pirates in this challenge.
14:27What's the poem?
14:28Let's go.
14:29So it says, where the ocean leviathan leaves its mark, beneath broken spine lie treasures in dark.
14:34Broken spine.
14:35Looks like a spine here.
14:36Is that a spine?
14:40Anything?
14:42The bones are from the big leviathan.
14:44A whale.
14:45Cracking or a whale that's been washed up on shore.
14:48Is this like a spine piece?
14:51Yeah, vertebrae.
14:52We assume that you've got to dig down under one of the spines and there'll be something there.
15:00I've been known to bury some money time to time.
15:03Just put a few dollars away there and think, shit, where did I put that?
15:06We buried it at our old house.
15:08And we spent three days digging it up to try and find it.
15:11People don't have to know about that.
15:14Pretty deep on this side.
15:15Goes the other way around as well.
15:18This one's on the left.
15:19So feather up top through the ringlet.
15:22It had been a long day.
15:24The sun was starting to come down.
15:26I know Thorpe is hurting.
15:28Come on, check. Yes, please.
15:29Progressively, you know, pain is getting worse and I'm getting slower.
15:35You got it?
15:38Thank you, mate.
15:40Rude info.
15:41The difficulty we have is we're limited in how quickly we can move.
15:45Let's go.
15:46So we need to try and be more efficient with our decisions that we make
15:49and interpretation of the clues.
15:52Where the ocean leviathan.
15:54What does that word mean?
15:56Where the ocean meets?
15:58I think it sounds that way.
16:05Got your bum back?
16:09There's flags over there.
16:13Peyton Bridges here.
16:14Oh, there's lots of spine pieces.
16:16They're getting right in deep there.
16:20We need shovels.
16:21We need a broken spine.
16:23I was digging for quite some time.
16:29This might be some sort of message, isn't it?
16:31And guess what?
16:32We found message in a bottle.
16:33Hide it, hide it, hide it.
16:35Think they'll eat it?
16:37What does it say?
16:38They're coming, they're coming, they're coming.
16:40They're too short, you mole.
16:42You find the next clue.
16:44Once they've found the message in a bottle,
16:46teams will search on foot for the Swakopmund mole.
16:49To find it, they must figure out that mole means seawall.
16:53Find the mole, and that's where they'll find their next clue.
16:57Come on, let's go.
16:58We're being covert because we don't want anyone else to find the clue.
17:03It's too close.
17:04What about the next one?
17:05What about here?
17:06Here, here, here.
17:07Very, very sneaky.
17:08You know, this game, everyone's your friend.
17:10Not when you find a clue.
17:12Let's go.
17:13Do they have it?
17:15They've got their bags on, so they've found something.
17:18Let's go over here.
17:19All right.
17:20The Smurfs found theirs quick, didn't they?
17:23Head to Swakopmund mole.
17:26And we've got to find our next clue there.
17:28Yes, okay.
17:29So maybe a mole is a mole or something.
17:33There it is, cafe mole.
17:35Let's go, hun.
17:36That's it, the mole.
17:37Okay.
17:38We'll try here.
17:39Hi.
17:40This is Swakopmund mole.
17:41Is this Swakopmund mole?
17:42Yes.
17:43No.
17:44It is?
17:45We're after a clue.
17:46Swakopmund mole to find your next clue.
17:47This is the mole.
17:48No, this whole thing's called mole.
17:50Oh, this whole thing.
17:51Even up there?
17:52We've got to look for a red and yellow box.
17:58Swakopmund mole.
18:02There it is.
18:03Oh, my God, honey.
18:04Really?
18:05Oh, my God, I found the red and yellow.
18:06Far out.
18:07Oh, my God.
18:08Yes.
18:09Oh, my God, there's heaps more left.
18:10Let's go.
18:11Okay, quick.
18:12Yes.
18:13Don't make a big scene because people might be following us.
18:15Quick, quick, quick.
18:16Come on.
18:17All right, what's this sucker?
18:18Oh, Jesus Christ, a detour.
18:21Guerrero style or German feast?
18:23The detour is a choice between two challenges, each with its own pros and cons.
18:28Now, the Germans built this town.
18:30You can see it in the architecture.
18:31But they're not the only ones that live in this unique seaside town.
18:35For this detour, it's a choice between two distinct local cultures, Guerrero style or German feast.
18:43In indigenous Guerrero culture, cattle are a sign of wealth.
18:47So traditionally, women wear these hats that resemble cow horns.
18:51A local lady will teach teams to fold and pin fabric to create a hat.
18:56Once it's sitting pretty, they'll receive their next clue.
19:01And in German culture, pigs are their sign of good luck and wealth.
19:05Historically, a dish of pork knuckle, known as Schweinshaxe, would be eaten at celebrations.
19:11Did I say that right?
19:12Anyway, teams must eat all the pork knuckle and sauerkraut on the plate to receive their next clue.
19:17And did I mention the plate weighs four kilos?
19:20And I never want to say Schweinshaxe again.
19:22I reckon we eat a sausage.
19:24But it's not a sausage.
19:25I don't know what that is.
19:26No, I don't want to.
19:27No, we're doing a dress.
19:28All right.
19:29Go, go, go.
19:31Maybe we've got to check these bones again.
19:33My treasure's in dark.
19:35Treasure's in dark.
19:36I'm thinking I'm using the spine as an example.
19:39Like these, all these are ribs.
19:41So there's really big ones.
19:43So the spine is much smaller.
19:45This is a spine.
19:47Pete.
19:51It's got to be deep and dark, right?
19:54Where's that clue? Read it out.
19:56Where the ocean leviathan leaves its mark.
19:59Beneath broken spine lie treasures in dark.
20:04Yeah, we were first ones there and we weren't the first ones to leave.
20:08A bottle.
20:10There's something in the bottle.
20:12Good boy.
20:14Good boy, Oskie.
20:17Had to swig up my old...
20:20Find your next clue.
20:21Righto.
20:22Well done, mate.
20:25Man, the Amazing Race is crazy, bro.
20:28Like, you can be coming first one minute
20:30and then seeing yourself out the door the next.
20:33They've found it already.
20:35Just dig, eh? Just dig.
20:42The spine one over here.
20:45It's been a big day.
20:47My brain's not working.
20:49Got to try and go deeper.
20:51We were digging under every bone that was there on the beach.
20:57There's a bottle.
21:02It's here, I told you.
21:04Sometimes in life, you just got to dig deeper.
21:07Had to suck one mum from old to find your next clue.
21:11All right, let's go.
21:17Oh, it's so glary. I can't see a thing.
21:19I know.
21:20Let's go up here.
21:23Good spilling, Oskie, there.
21:25Where's Beau?
21:27Where's Beau?
21:28Oh, there's still a few in there.
21:30Righto.
21:32Yes, well done.
21:34Carrero-style German fest.
21:36Fold a traditional Carrero horned deer,
21:38so we'll eat a plate of short suit and sauerkraut.
21:40I think we'll eat.
21:41We're eating.
21:42Might be easy to fold.
21:43Not easy to eat.
21:44Let's try it.
21:46They're still being Christian.
21:47Are they still there?
21:48Yeah.
21:49This is it.
21:50This is where I've got to catch us up.
21:52Is there anyone up there?
21:54I think we're last.
21:56Is it in the dark?
21:57It should be in the sand, or is it...
22:00So that one hasn't been moved, you said?
22:02OK.
22:03Well, it hasn't.
22:04There's nothing dug around it.
22:05We've got to make up some ground.
22:07What's there?
22:08But my main concern is just making sure
22:10that I'm able to support Thorpy through his injuries
22:13to get to the next challenge.
22:15Christian, can you just turn the spine over?
22:17See if there's a clue on it.
22:18No, nothing.
22:20Yes!
22:27Detour.
22:28Herrera style or German feast?
22:30German feast.
22:31Let's go.
22:32Let's go.
22:41Where's the numbers?
22:42Seven?
22:43Seven.
22:44And the nine?
22:45Adam wanted to do the feast.
22:47I want to do the fashion because I spew at anything
22:52on this amazing race.
22:54Oh, my God.
22:55Found it.
22:56Yes!
22:57Hello.
22:58Hello.
22:59Oh, my God, that looks amazing.
23:01So we're going to learn how to make this.
23:03OK.
23:04Now, do you want to sit or do you want to pin?
23:06Yeah, no.
23:07Who's going to make the hat?
23:08I'm making the hat.
23:10You're so meticulous.
23:12Total stitch-up.
23:13So we need to go over there like that.
23:15Yep.
23:16Pin.
23:17I got it.
23:18You see?
23:19Yep.
23:20It should go.
23:21Like this?
23:22Yeah.
23:23Pin.
23:24And then the pin.
23:25Oh, man.
23:26Pinned.
23:27I got that.
23:28That down there.
23:29This challenge is way too complicated.
23:31Oh.
23:32At the back.
23:33This is going to be a struggle.
23:35Oh, this is ******.
23:44You hungry?
23:45Yeah.
23:46Good.
23:47This might be it.
23:48Yeah.
23:49This challenge we have to eat ice spine.
23:52Ice spine.
23:53Ice spine.
23:54And sauerkraut.
23:56Oh, yum.
23:57Pork knuckle.
24:00And then bang, right in front of us.
24:02Look at this, Oskie.
24:03Yum.
24:04Beautiful.
24:05Wow.
24:06Three huge pork knuckles.
24:10Delicious.
24:11And we were hungry.
24:13How many people normally eat this?
24:17No.
24:19That's a lot of meat.
24:20How am I going to handle this?
24:26I'll do this one then.
24:27It's this one, mate.
24:28I can feel it.
24:32Do you reckon deeper?
24:36Yes, yes, yes.
24:37Yes.
24:38Yes!
24:40Head to Swakopmund Mall to find your next clue.
24:43Swakopmund Mall.
24:44Thank you for cheering us on.
24:46We had a great group of people that were cheering us on.
24:49Some fans, which was wonderful.
24:52Thank you, guys.
24:54Let's go.
24:55Good encouragement.
24:56Let's go.
24:57Let's keep going.
24:58So we've got to go out to this pier.
25:00Swakopmund Mall.
25:03Hello.
25:04Is this one I'm making?
25:06Yes.
25:07That's gorgeous.
25:08It's gorgeous.
25:09It's amazing.
25:10Yeah.
25:11It's easy, guys.
25:13It was better than sauerkraut.
25:15He's going to wear it, I'm going to make it.
25:18And you fold that in and make a circle.
25:22What do I do?
25:23Just look pretty?
25:24I've seen Bridget work her wanders during book week,
25:26making costumes for the kids.
25:27I know she can do this.
25:29Well done, Bridgie.
25:31Front of your head.
25:33I think being a mum at this point would be really helpful.
25:36Is that correct?
25:37Perfect?
25:38Hey, did you hear that?
25:39I got a perfect.
25:40I don't doubt it.
25:41It actually feels comfortable.
25:43I've got the luckiest boy alive.
25:45I'm battling.
25:46I'm battling.
25:47Are you?
25:48Yeah.
25:49You're the eater.
25:50This is a lot of food.
25:52The first knuckle and a half was beautiful,
25:54and then it started to slow up.
25:56He did.
26:02Hello, hello, hello.
26:03Cool.
26:04Bam, bam.
26:05It's pork knuckles.
26:07Woo!
26:11Thank you very much.
26:13I'm not real big fans of sauerkraut.
26:15Knuckles, yes, but not usually to that extent.
26:18But I've got to get this down.
26:20Do you have any sauce?
26:21Barbecue sauce?
26:22You're not allowed, sorry.
26:24You've got to finish it just like that.
26:26Easy.
26:33Oh.
26:34OK, detour.
26:35Herrera style or German feast?
26:37I think the swine.
26:38I think we're eating, Christian.
26:39Yeah, eating.
26:41We're hungry,
26:42and we think that we can get through a food challenge
26:45a lot better than something that may be in detail.
26:49OK.
26:54Yours looks great, Bridge.
26:56That's perfect.
26:57Look at this, perfect.
26:58Hang on.
26:59Let's check.
27:00Oh, yes.
27:02It's a good hat.
27:06No, no, no.
27:07It's a stressful situation.
27:09It's getting late.
27:10I'm tired.
27:11This is rather difficult.
27:12This hat's beyond me.
27:14Oh, did I get you?
27:15Yeah, it's OK.
27:17I can't see.
27:18I haven't got no light.
27:20We got to this challenge first.
27:22Stuff falls apart.
27:28Here.
27:29OK.
27:30Sweet.
27:32Oh.
27:34Hey.
27:35Hello.
27:37A full payday.
27:39What do, what do?
27:40Yeah, boys.
27:42How are you?
27:43Oh, that is a lot of food.
27:45Nearly there.
27:46So by the time we arrive,
27:48Billy is sitting back in his chair like this.
27:52Sam and Logan are just smashing away at it.
27:58Thanks.
27:59My first thought when I saw the pork knuckles
28:02was a memory when I ate too much crackling at Christmas...
28:09..and vomited.
28:14Pork's just not my favourite meat.
28:16How do you get that much fat down and not feel bloated and sick?
28:21But it comes down to mindset,
28:23and I turned the competitive mode on.
28:26This is actually really nice.
28:28Not this much.
28:31Our approach was to eat quickly.
28:33You don't want to be having that fatty bit
28:36when it's cold and solidified a little bit.
28:39So we wanted to get through that stuff as quickly as we could.
28:44We've been trying to catch up all day.
28:47We feel a glimmer of hope,
28:49especially having seen that Billy and Oscar had a fair bit to go.
28:53Is that finished, what's on the front of your plate?
28:55No.
28:59This is a stitch-up.
29:00It's all... It would literally...
29:03I can't see shit.
29:04It's getting dark.
29:06I can't see it the best of times.
29:08My glasses are dirty.
29:09You wanted sauerkraut.
29:10Well, I didn't necessarily want sauerkraut.
29:13I just didn't want to be making a hat.
29:16Looks good now.
29:17Get the bedazzle going.
29:18Let's get some bedazzle.
29:20After the building earlier, I was determined,
29:23we are going to do this.
29:24Judge?
29:25Go, guys!
29:29Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.
29:32Well done.
29:34It's a relief to get the thumbs up.
29:36Good job, dude.
29:37Beautiful!
29:38The key to winning the Amazing Race may not be an athlete,
29:41but to be a mum, an Aussie mum.

29:47and fine by the pit stop.

30:10We got to this challenge first.
30:11Yes.
30:12The heli is coming after us.
30:14We thought, all the boys,
30:15they've smashed every eating challenge.
30:17I missed it.
30:21Just keep going.
30:24How good's the sauerkraut?
30:26I love the sauerkraut.
30:28This is so much.
30:30Where are the other guys?
30:31They're making hats.
30:33There'll be a lot of mucking around.
30:37I can't do any better.
30:38I can't see.
30:39We'll swap around?
30:40Yep.
30:41Adam, legit, can't see.
30:42Tap out.
30:43Just tidy it up.
30:44Just tidy it up, hon.
30:45Yes, exactly.
30:46Just tidy it up.
30:47OK.
30:48Attention to detail is not my strong point,
30:50but I have to take over and do this.
30:52Or we're done.
30:54Let's try this.
30:55Oh, this feels good.
30:56This feels good.
30:58OK, let's go.

31:14Yes, well done.
31:16OK.
31:17Make your way on foot to the world-famous
31:20and find Beau at the pit stop.
31:21Let's go.
31:22Let's go.
31:24Swakopmund Jetty?
31:25Yes.
31:26Yes.
31:27Is it down there?
31:28Do you want to walk with us?
31:29Yes.
31:30You do?
31:31Yeah.
31:32You want to walk with us?
31:33No problem.
31:34OK, let's go.
31:35What's your name?
31:36Leslie.
31:37Leslie?
31:38Oh, Leslie.
31:39And you even went green for us.
31:40No more mistakes.
31:41This could be it.
31:42A podium finish, and maybe even finish first.
31:50So, what is your name?
31:51My name is Heinrich.
31:52Heinrich.
31:53Half a knee, but you can call me Heini.
31:54Beautiful.
31:55Oh, I think we see the jetty, do we?
31:57Thank you so much.
31:59You're so wonderful.
32:01Thank you, Leslie.
32:02Thank you, bye.
32:03Oh, that was tough.
32:04You did great, hun.
32:05Oh, no, I didn't.
32:07Seriously, we've got to be last.
32:10Holy moly, I'm freezing.
32:14It's cold for the desert.
32:16Welcome to the Skeleton Coast.
32:20Amazing.
32:22Wow, stunning.
32:28I see those beautiful flags.
32:30Wow.
32:37Welcome to the Skeleton Coast.
32:40Welcome.
32:41Pete and Bridget, you are the first team to check in.
32:50We won!
32:53Oh, my God.
32:54On quite possibly the longest day of our lives.
32:57The feeling was electric.
32:58It was the most gruelling day of the amazing race,
33:01and we got to the pit stop first.
33:04Very proud of you guys.
33:05Well done for checking in first.
33:08You get a luxury hotel upgrade.
33:11Thanks.
33:12Good job.
33:13Who knows?
33:14We may well bloody win this thing.
33:20Oh.
33:22Oh.
33:23Logan, you feel all right?
33:25Hey, hey, hey, don't worry about him.
33:27You worry about yourself, mate.
33:28You worry about yourself.
33:31No, no, no!
33:33Move!
33:39Yeah, yeah.
33:41Bam, I haven't seen you move that quick.
33:43You see these boys struggling.
33:45You know it's hard.
33:46Yeah, that's right.
33:49Big day.
33:51There's the jetty.
33:52Here we are.
33:54Well.
33:56Here we go.
33:58Nearly there.
34:00We made it!
34:01Brooke and Adam, you are the second team to check in.
34:05What?
34:06What?
34:08Oh, my God.
34:11No way.
34:12That was so hard.
34:14Oh, my God.
34:15I'm just, I can't, honestly.
34:18Well done.
34:19We thought we were going home.
34:21We thought we were brought down by a two-horse pack.
34:23We can't build that.
34:24Oh, my God.
34:25This is happy tears, by the way.
34:26I know, I've never seen you like this before.
34:30Well done.
34:31This race has taught us that you can do crappy,
34:34but you just can't be the crappest.
34:37We were crap, but obviously there was some other teams
34:40that were crappier.
34:43I'm really struggling.
34:47Practicing nearly done.
34:49I don't know.
34:50We're almost there.
34:52Bam and Logan are powering through this challenge.
34:55Yes.
34:56And Christian and Thorpy, they came a bit later.
34:58They are also smashing it.
35:01Good work.
35:04I'm in awe.
35:06We've still got half a knuckle to go,
35:08and we are full.
35:12Every mouthful right now is a battle.
35:14Let's go.
35:27We're nearly done, lads.
35:29How are you feeling?
35:30Yeah, I love it.
35:31You guys are definitely doing good.
35:33You think?
35:34Better than last time.
35:35You guys are definitely doing good.
35:37You think?
35:38Better than these guys.
35:42Check.
35:45Let's see.
35:48Nice.
35:50Well done.
35:51You completed it.
35:55Well done, boys.
35:56Well done.
35:57Well done, boys.
36:00Make your way on foot to the soccer pond jetty.
36:02The last team to arrive may be eliminated.
36:04Let's go.
36:07Come on, you guys are almost done.
36:09Well, I was full as a fat lady's sock.
36:12But Oscar boy is also struggling.
36:16Should have learnt after the first eating challenge.
36:18I'll step up to the plate.
36:20I worked out if I take a mouthful and drink,
36:22it goes down your swallow.
36:26We're going okay here.
36:27We're going well.
36:29Until...
36:34The big fella's not good.
36:38Go back to your meals.
36:39Go back to your meals.
36:43Luckily, I didn't have to hold his head back.
36:45He took care of that about 30 years ago.
36:48Good work, Topi.
36:51That pork knuckle got me buckled.
36:56Today definitely was one of the hardest days.
36:59We've been racing non-stop.
37:01There's the jetty, lads.
37:02Let's go.
37:03Come on, let's go.
37:05I can see it.
37:06Come on.
37:10I can feel the pier moving.
37:13Don't tell him I said that.
37:14Okay.
37:18Bam Bam and Logan,
37:20you are the third team to check in.
37:24We're safe, baby.
37:25We've been in the desert, now we're out at sea.
37:27Massive day.
37:28We're out here representing our family, our area.
37:31We're proud.
37:33Missing the family, brother?
37:36A thousand percent, my boy.
37:41All goods?
37:43It's okay to miss your family, mate.
37:46Because it shows you care, and you guys care alike.
37:48We care about each other,
37:49and you are what this show represents.
37:51You've got tests every day,
37:53and you only can work with each other.
37:55It's all we need.
37:56If you guys work together, you can win this thing.
37:58You know that.
37:59We're going to try.
38:01So rest, recover.
38:03Go digest that pork knuckle,
38:05and I'll see you again very soon, all right?
38:10Good job, brother.
38:11It's okay, my man.
38:15I'd be very, very, very proud of you, bro, all right?
38:20Let's go, baby.
38:21All day.
38:22Just got pork knuckle on my only white singlet.
38:26All right, we've got to make a conceded effort here.
38:29A bit of water on the lips,
38:31and we walk back in and get back into the pork.
38:33So there was a little spot there that I could have some more.
38:39Let's put it all on.
38:40We've got a little chow crowd, haven't we?
38:43They've got a lot to go.
38:44Billy and Oscar are struggling.
38:48And this allowed us to catch up.
38:51But we have left the worst bits to last.
38:54Fatty chunks and things like that.
38:56The bits that aren't as yummy.
38:59No, no, no, I've had it in one go.
39:01I don't care.
39:02It's not done.
39:05Check.
39:08Yes!
39:09Yay!
39:12It's pretty demoralising, isn't it?
39:13Yeah.
39:14It's pretty demoralising.
39:15Yeah.
39:16It's pretty demoralising.
39:17It's pretty demoralising.
39:19It's pretty demoralising when you see everyone starting to go past you
39:21and leave the challenge,
39:22especially when you get there first.
39:23Yeah.
39:25Make your way on foot to the world-famous Swakopmund Jetty
39:28and climb up the pit stop.
39:29Yep, let's go, let's go.
39:31Come on, Mark.
39:32I've been very proud of Oscar the whole trip.
39:34There's no doubt about that.
39:37He's impressed me with everything we've done,
39:39and now it's my turn.
39:42I don't want to let him down.
39:43That's why I kept going.
39:48Check.
39:49Check.
39:50Check, please.
39:54Yes!
39:55Oh!
39:57Thank God for that.
40:00You did well.
40:02We're still in it.
40:03Good boy.
40:05That was beautiful.
40:06Don't ever want to see or eat a pork knuckle again.

40:34I feel so bad.
40:35Oh, mate.
40:37Breathe properly, cock.
40:38Breathe.
40:39You don't want to let the other person down.
40:43That's what's getting us through at the moment.
40:47It's a good walk.
40:53Hopefully get there before Billy and Oscar.
40:56We're realising how much we care about the result.
41:00I'm doing this for charity.
41:02I'm doing it for my mate, Christian.
41:05And I'm also, you know, I want to challenge myself.
41:07So I have three exceptional reasons to keep going.
41:13Where's the jetty?
41:14There.
41:15Come on, we're nearly there.
41:16Yep.
41:17Last bit, home stretch.
41:20Jetty goes right out to that point.
41:25Oh, here they come.
41:28Let's go, Dopey, nearly there.
41:35Oh, boy.
41:36Good work.
41:39Welcome to the Skeleton Coast.
41:42Billy and Oscar, you are fourth team to check in.
41:48Well done, Dopey.
41:49And the fullest team to check in.
41:52What a day, Bill.
41:53Big day.
41:54Big day, mate.
41:55Don't even know what we did today.
41:58And guess what, we're still here.
41:59You're still here.
42:00Still here.
42:01And you guys are working very well together.
42:02What's it like out here with your son, mate?
42:04Nah, it's been great.
42:05He's fantastic.
42:06He's been very good.
42:07The boy, um...
42:08Yeah.
42:12Good stuff, Dopey.
42:13You've been good too.
42:14Nah.
42:15Good boy.
42:16You got us through.
42:17You got us through in that last challenge.
42:19Good work.
42:20Yeah.
42:21Silly.
42:22Nah, we're all right.
42:23We're still here.
42:24I spoke to you before you come on this show, Bill.
42:26You were super pumped to be doing it with your son.
42:28That's it.
42:29You're travelling the world.
42:30We are in Africa on a pier in the Skeleton Coast.
42:33And you've got your best mate with you.
42:35Exactly.
42:36We're having fun.
42:37It's pretty special.
42:38We are.
42:39Yep.
42:40I know you're very proud of him.
42:44You got more to give, Bill?
42:45Yeah.
42:46We go again.
42:47We live another day.
42:48We fight another battle.
42:50I love it.
42:51Bring it in, huh?
42:52Good on you, boys.
42:53Good work.
42:54Thank you, mate.
42:55Good work.
42:56See you, mate.
42:59I've known Billy Brandliss a long time,
43:01and I've never seen him like that, and it's great to see him.
43:03It's really, really good.
43:04It must be a special moment.
43:06A special moment with his son, mate.
43:08I can't beat it.
43:09Good, mate.
43:10We're nearly there.
43:11Home stretch.

43:25Thank you, mate.
43:26Nice to meet you.
43:27Thorpe, being Christian, you are the last thing to hear.
43:30Enjoyed your time on the race?
43:32I've loved it, mate.
43:33Every bit of it.
43:34To get to travel the world and visit places
43:36that I've never been before, alongside my best mate,
43:39meet some awesome people.
43:41It's a money can't buy experience,
43:43and I'm sad that, you know, we've come in last place today.
43:47Now, Thorpe, you've had some incredible tests in your life.
43:50How does this compare?
43:51My feelings are we're always being tested.
43:53We're always being tested.
43:55We're always being tested.
43:57How does this compare?
43:58My feelings are we're always being tested.
44:00And, you know, a lot of us will do a lot of things
44:03to avoid being tested.
44:05This isn't something for people that are just good at one thing.
44:08You know, every day changes, and your ability to adapt to that
44:11is what will make you good at this.
44:13It's as simple as that.
44:15Do you still think you can test yourself more?
44:18Yeah.
44:19Well, that's good,
44:20because this is a predetermined non-elimination leg.
44:23Fantastic.
44:24Yes.
44:28Relieved, actually.
44:30Thanks, Bo.
44:33I'm so happy you're still in.
44:35Stick together.
44:36My mate's here with me.
44:38I want to do it for him.
44:39I want to do it for myself.
44:41Go and rest, mate. Get some ice on that.
44:43Maybe go for a swim.
44:45I know, it's a long walk back.
44:47It's a long walk back.
44:48It's funny, isn't it?
44:49I'm stubbornly determined to actually complete this race.
44:52We're never going to give up.
44:57Next time on The Amazing Race,
44:59Celebrity Edition.
