00:13You thought it was true, but it's actually fake.

00:17There's plenty of disinformation and misinformation online.

00:21But what's the difference?

00:23It's all about intent.

00:26Misinformation.

00:27It's when there's no intention to fool you, but you're likely to be victimized.

00:31Disinformation is when it's intentional.

00:35It's when it's malicious and intentional to deceive you.

00:38For example, misleading content or deliberately taken out of context.

00:44Another example, the most common, fabricated, and manipulated content,

00:50or what we call fake news.

00:53Fake, but the truth is being revealed.

00:56Because of this, fake news has become a word of the year.
