Good morning. Well, it's going to be turning increasingly unsettled from the west with
00:04
heavy spells of rain and some stronger winds to come. But looking at the pressure pattern,
00:10
we did have high pressure through Saturday. That's clearing eastwards and being replaced
00:14
by this area of low pressure through Sunday, Monday and gradually moving its way slowly
00:19
eastwards into Tuesday as well. So expecting some strong and gusty winds with this area
00:25
of low pressure, but also some heavy spells of rain leading to further possible flooding.
00:32
But back to this morning, a chilly start out there, especially for parts of Scotland and
00:36
northern England, but a bright start here with plenty of sunny spells. Further towards
00:42
the west, though, this is this area of low pressure, bringing strong gusty winds, especially
00:47
across southern parts of England and into Wales. And here we do have a Met Office yellow
00:52
wind warning in force that will see gusts of possibly 50 to 60 miles per hour, especially
00:59
over the hills and across the headlands as well. But further towards the east, that's
01:04
where we'll see plenty of bright sunshine. We've got high level cloud moving, moving
01:09
through. So sunshine is going to be quite hazy through the day, but it should be feeling
01:15
warm in that sunshine, feeling warmer across Scotland with highs of 13 or 14 degrees up
01:20
to 16 degrees in the south and east. But towards the southwest, milder conditions,
01:26
but also some heavy spells of rain and stronger winds. They're probably feeling quite unpleasant
01:32
as we go through Sunday evening. A rain warning also comes into force across the southern
01:37
parts of England and Wales. So expect some heavy spells of rain that could lead to further
01:43
flooding impacts and also spray on the roads and some difficult driving conditions. And
01:49
that rain gradually pushes across much of Wales into the Midlands and towards the southeast
01:54
by the start of Monday morning. Elsewhere, skies will turn a lot cloudier and that will
02:01
lead to generally a milder night than recent nights, with temperatures holding up at around
02:06
10 or 11 degrees. So a generally milder but unsettled start to Monday morning. Some difficult
02:13
driving conditions through rush hour, especially across England and southern parts of Wales
02:18
will still have a brisk wind along that south coast and up into East Anglia as well. Further
02:24
across Scotland and Northern Ireland, it's still going to be unsettled here with further
02:29
spells of rain that could turn heavy at times as well. It's going to be a little bit milder
02:35
than what we've had in recent days, especially further towards the south. But obviously,
02:40
a lot of rain, so it's probably going to be feeling quite cool underneath any persistent
02:45
heavier spells of rain. So there's a lot going on. But as we go into Tuesday and into
02:50
Wednesday, it does look to turn a little bit drier. But if you want more updates for where
