00:58In the hearing, our parliamentarians were deprived of their fundamental right, the right to vote.

01:14That is why it was necessary that we reach a minimum consensus.

01:18And for that minimum consensus, we need Maulana Fazl Rehman's support.

01:29because in the past, the Peoples' Party and Benazir Bhutto's government were broken up.

01:34And at that time, the IJI and other parties, to destabilize the governments of the Peoples' Party,

01:50and made it clear that this was a forceful policy against the Pakistan Peoples' Party.

02:05the members of the parliament will be prohibited from deciding the party line.

02:10If they decide to go against the party line for any reason,

02:15then they are used, counted and then they have to fight by-election with the public.

02:23It is true that the Peoples' Party was broken up to destabilize the governments.

02:28But this is not the whole truth.

02:29The whole truth is that the Peoples' Party has also done a political break-up,

02:33whether in the elections of the Senate or not.

02:37Let's take a brief look at its history.

02:40After the elections of 1988, when Nawaz Sharif was becoming the Prime Minister of Punjab,

02:45he was kept in the Chhanga Manga rest houses to get his and Azad Arqan's support.

02:51This term of Chhanga Manga has become popular in the politics of Pakistan since then.

02:55On 1st November 1989, the then Prime Minister, Benazir Bhutto, was voted against by the Tehreek-e-Adham-e-Itamat.

03:01And in 237 Kewan, 124 Arqan voted for him and made the Tehreek-e-Adham-e-Itamat a failure.

03:07But from here, the term of horse trading became a common term.

03:13It so happened that the then Prime Minister of Punjab, Nawaz Sharif,

03:16to make the Tehreek-e-Adham-e-Itamat against Benazir Bhutto a success,

03:19kept his and Azad Arqan in the Chhanga Manga rest houses near Lahore.

03:25Because of Operation Midnight Jackal,

03:27before the Tehreek-e-Adham-e-Itamat was presented by Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto,

03:31Azad Arqan had already increased his contacts with the Arqan.

03:35And before the Tehreek-e-Adham-e-Itamat, he kept him in a rest house in Swat.

03:39In 1993, horse trading was accused in Punjab.

03:43And the Tehreek-e-Adham-e-Itamat against the then Prime Minister of Punjab, Ghulam Haider Wai, was a success.

03:47And since Benazir Bhutto was becoming the Prime Minister,

03:49the People's Party once again accused Nawaz Sharif of buying Arakeen.

03:54The press named this Rojan as Lota Krasi.

03:57Azad Arqan, who was changing his contacts again and again,

04:00was awarded the title of Lota.

04:02During this time, there were many other ups and downs,

04:04but we can also forget the Senate elections in 2018.

04:07In the 2018 Senate elections,

04:09Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's PTI's B. Saraqeen Assembly was accused of horse trading,

04:14which benefitted the Noon League and the People's Party.

04:18August 2019 is not a distant past, we all remember.

04:22The Tehreek-e-Adham-e-Itamat against Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani

04:26was a failure despite the majority.

04:29In April 2022, the PTI's more than 14 Arakeen Assemblies

04:34rebelled against the Tehreek-e-Adham-e-Itamat

04:36against the then Prime Minister, Bani Chairman PTI Imran Khan.

04:40And after that, the Tehreek-e-Adham-e-Itamat was successful.

04:43So, Jodh Tod ki Siyasat, Chhanga Manga ki Siyasat

04:46has a very dark history in Pakistan.
