02:13He tells the Senate Tuesday, September 24, it was his maternal grandfather who helped

02:18him process the birth certificate.

02:20Yang says he obtained the birth certificate two to three years after his arrival in the

02:24Philippines when he was 28 years old.

02:26He came to the Philippines in 1998 or 1999 and says he does not have a Philippine passport,

02:32only a Chinese one, which says he was born in Fujian, China.

02:35Yang was able to establish himself in the business community, particularly in Cagayan

02:40de Oro.

02:41At the House of Representatives' Quad Committee hearing on September 19, Rep. Dan Fernandez

02:45said Yang was caught in 2021 smuggling rice through Sanjia in Cagayan de Oro.

02:52Chinese national Zhao Su Qi, one of the heads of an illegal pogo hub discovered in Cebu,

02:57confirms he tried to offer P1 million to the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission

03:02but denies it was a bribery attempt.

03:05Zhao says Tuesday, September 24, his P1 million offer was meant to facilitate a separate agreement

03:10for his wife and young granddaughter after the Lapu-Lapu pogo raid.

03:14Authorities apprehended Zhao and more than 160 foreigners on August 31 at the Tourist

03:19Garden Hotel in Lapu-Lapu City.

03:22Zhao confirms during the hearing Tuesday, the P1 million came from his son, Zhao Long.

03:27Long is identified as one of the chief operators of the Lucky South 99 pogo hub in Porak, Pampanga.

03:33HAOC spokesperson Winston Cascio says Zhao attempted to bribe them three times.

03:38Zhao insists he was merely transferring the money to government personnel for, quote,

03:42safekeeping.

03:45Filipino singer Arnel Pineda, the frontman of the legendary American rock band Journey,

03:50responds to criticism of his performance at the Rock in Rio music festival in Rio de Janeiro,

03:57A Facebook page shared a clip of Pineda struggling to reach the high notes of the band's hit
