00:00A child in Caloocan City was killed after a snake bit him while he was sleeping.

00:05Vel Custodio has the details.

00:16This is the snake that bit and killed a 7-year-old boy in Bagong Silang, Caloocan City last Wednesday.

00:24James Abar-Abar is a Grade 2 student and has 3 out of 5 siblings.

00:29The child who was giving joy to his family,

00:32was now bitten by a snake and was about to die after his funeral.

00:38According to the victim's mother,

00:40her children were sleeping on the floor until 10 in the morning.

00:44When she saw the snake,

00:46she quickly woke up and took her children out of the house.

00:50But what Zarina didn't know is that James was bitten by a snake.

00:54I saw it earlier, it was a snake.

00:57A few minutes later,

00:59the child's body was infected with something.

01:01It was hurting him,

01:03which they thought was just because he was hungry.
