00:00Where will the Conservatives go next?
00:02Well, what a clash of the titans their leadership contest has become.
00:07The former Home Secretary, who called the Rwanda scheme
00:11batshit, and is of course now pledging to bring it back.
00:16The former Immigration Minister, who found himself too right-wing
00:19to work with Suella Braverman.
00:23The moderate candidate, the security minister,
00:26who says that he acts on his principles,
00:30previously demonstrated by backing Liz Truss to be Prime Minister.
00:35And then there's the former Business Secretary,
00:38who claims that she became working class at the age of 16.
00:45But, Conference, the Tories' failure was not just because
00:48they were incompetent or deluded.
00:51Not just because they put party before country.
00:54Of course, both of those are true.
00:56It is because they do not understand the world as it is today.
01:00This is our moment.
01:02Our chance to show that politics can make a difference.
01:05That Britain's best days lie ahead.
01:08That our families, our communities, our country
01:11need not look on while the future is built somewhere else.
01:15That we can, and we will, make our own future here.
01:19A Britain trading, competing and leading in a changed world.
01:23A Britain founded on their talent and the efforts of working people.
01:28That is the Britain we're building.
01:30That is the Britain I believe in.
01:32Together, let's go and build it.
