00:18Aljo, the Department of Trade and Industry is studying the high price of some of the manufacturers of the main products.

00:27Corazon feels that the price of the ingredients in making bread, such as flour, eggs, and other raw materials, is too high.

00:35But they are trying to lower the price of bread in their panaderia.

00:40Ma'am, if you increase the price, you will lose your customers, of course, right?

00:44Because for others, it's expensive, they will avoid the expensive ones.

00:48According to the Department of Trade and Industry, 60 shelf-keeping units or products have a high price

00:55such as bread, sardines, water bottle, and soap.

00:59Some manufacturers explained that the cost of raw materials and logistics has increased.

01:05They are asking for a high price because the price of flour has really increased in terms of percentage.

01:11The agency did not say how much they are asking for.

01:14DTI will study this, but they will not allow more than 10% high price.

01:21We also need to be sensitive to the needs of the consumers.

01:24So we need to really balance everything to be able to come up with a correct decision whether to increase the price or not.
