To mark the occasion, esteemed filmmakers Kiran Rao, Imtiaz Ali, and Vidhu Vinod Chopra were invited to impart their expertise to the next generation of cinematic talents. In a candid conversation with IANS, Ghai shared his insights and reflections on the industry.

00:00Whistley Woods has been established for 17 years and it has been 12 years since we have been making celebrate cinema every year.

00:13Our children are more than 1000 here and 1000 come from outside as well.

00:20Our whole team from outside, from school to poor children, to other children who are aspirant, they call it celebrate cinema.

00:27Our festival is for 3-4 days and this time it is celebrate cinema 2024.

00:34And in this, 5 big directors are being shown in the film.

00:39And their whole team is coming, their music director, their director, their writers, their actors.

00:45The names of the films that are being shown are Gadar 2, Istri 2, 12th Fail, Laapata Ladies, Chamkeela.

00:56Imtiaz Ali will also come, other directors will also come.

01:00Today Anil Sharma came, Laapata Ladies, Kiran Rao is coming.

01:05So apart from this, we have 50-60 workshops where we teach everything regarding commerce, technique and art of film making to all the children.

01:20And the biggest thing is that there is a festivity in which the children get excited.

01:27That is called celebrate cinema.

01:29Celebrate cinema means that children should be inspired.

01:34And they should be taught the real aesthetics, ethics of cinema and how to make Indian films in the future.
