00:20between 8 to 1 and 14 to 1 for any given scenario. For example, if you want to make a lot of

00:25horsepower, you can lower the compression ratio and raise the boost with a turbocharger. This

00:30lets the engine create power safely. But if you want maximum efficiency, you raise the

00:35compression ratio as high as possible, which increases thermal efficiency, like when you're

00:39idling or cruising on the highway. The same technology is used in the Nissan Altima,
