Donald Trump is live on Elon Musk's app ... and he's praising the civilian who helped lead police straight to the man suspected of trying to shoot the former president.

00:59To the sheriff's office and they ended up getting him. They got him the civilian did a phenomenal job a woman

01:14Follow him and not make use of the back of his truck, you know

01:18It's interesting because on the one hand you think how on earth

01:22Could you know if she didn't see it he would have gotten away but when you really think about it

01:28He left the gun behind. He had two backpacks

01:30They would have found that they would have found it eventually

01:32But certainly this the civilians help helped them track him down immediately

01:38So this is this is really raised a huge issue about the Secret Service and what happened

01:45you know as far as sweeping that golf course before

01:49Before the former president got there and resources because they are now protecting 40 people and

01:57It's pretty much bipartisan now

01:59They're saying the Secret Service doesn't have the manpower to do everything. It's expected to do at this point

02:06so the issue now is

02:09Staffing them so that they can do an adequate job. They better do it quick

02:16This is too too too many attempts and I think and I understand that

02:21He's not the current president right now

02:23and if he were there would be much more heightened security, but I I don't think you can just treat Donald Trump like he's just a

02:32He is he's probably the most polarizing person in the entire world

02:36And I think you've got to treat him as such so from now on when he golfs or does anything else

03:27Who was looking at certain areas who's in charge of this and that's what didn't happen in Pennsylvania

03:33And it seems like at least at this point seems like there were lapses in the preparation again
