00:00Hello I'm Neil Natalia and I've been farming here all my life but started in 1974 predominantly

00:06lucerne growers. Now to make good hay you have to cure it well you must have the right sort of

00:12weather so that you don't have too much dew and if you have the right weather like this particular

00:18lucerne hay you'd have good green colour you bale it at the right time and you've got plenty of leaf

00:24and that is what you call quality hay and that's what the market demands especially

00:31horse owners this is the quality that they like and are prepared to pay a premium for.

00:38And I'm Chris Natalia farming with my dad for the last 15 years and this hay here is more the hay

00:46that cattle people would sort of chase it's your coarser hay it's been shedded for six months

00:53and this is the kind of hay that we feed our cattle.
