00:00I knew I had a special talent, but I didn't know what it was.

00:06I'm just a little kid wrestling, and my brother wrestled with me too, and we would just come

00:14in here and we would just work out hard, wrestle each other, and we were winning all the little

00:18tournaments growing up and stuff, but I never really knew how good I was.

00:27I'm from Tucson, Arizona, the south side of Tucson, and a lot of people don't make it

00:32out.

00:33Imagine drugs, imagine crime, it's just not a great place to raise kids.

00:37He could have gave up, he could have took a different path, but he stayed determined,

00:42he stayed focused, and he knew he wanted to wrestle, and he knew that was going to be

00:47his way out.

00:52He's got the work ethic of the hardest working guy in the room, and the talent to match.

00:59He just kept getting better, just kept working harder.

01:02Roman finished his high school career 182-0, unblemished, four-time state champion, they

01:08call him the greatest wrestler in Arizona history.

01:12Someone came out of the car, pulled out a gun on me.

01:18What it comes down to is passion, heart, and spirit.

01:21Coming from family, coming from nothing, and wanting to prove that put Tucson on the map,

01:25put our family on the map, and make something better for us and our families.

01:30Every day I just wake up and say, how did I get to where I'm at?

01:48It's definitely been a lot of ups and downs, it's only going to get crazier, but I'm enjoying

01:55every second of it.

01:56I just think the sky's the limit.
