00:13Actually watching MTV, you wouldn't know my face because you people never play my god

00:17On a much more wonderful note, I'm backstage in wonderful, cosmopolitan, throbbing Birmingham,

00:25England with the one and only Bill Ward, drummer in Black Sabbath.

00:29Historically, when was the last time this lineup did a complete set?

00:34Oh yeah, okay, me and Oz were trying to figure that out the other day.

00:37I think it was...

00:38You mean the Never Say Die tour?

00:39Yeah.

00:40And that was...

00:41Was that 79 to 80?

00:42Yes, 1979 I believe that was, yeah.

00:45Could be wrong, probably am, but I think 79's a good guess.

00:48What was it like to revisit this music?

00:51As in, did you have to, was a lot of memorization, or were you able to bring musical experience

00:58you've learned over the years to these older songs?

01:01A little bit of both.

01:03It's incredibly nostalgic.

01:06It's very warm.

01:07I mean, you know, whenever we're playing these things, I get a lot of warm memories.

02:12Have you been thinking at all today about the idea of doing more gigs?

02:16You know, going out into the continent, or stateside, or whatever?

02:20I think we'd like to.

02:21I think we'd like to go out and do...

02:23Well, I think we will.

02:25Go out and do more shows.

02:26It was better than it ever was, I think, before.

02:29We got on a lot better.

02:31Personalities were a lot easier to deal with.

02:34It was really good.

02:35We had a good time.

02:37Playing in different line-ups that I've had,

02:40within Black Sabbath as well, different members.

02:42Good players, great players coming in.

02:44But it's never been quite the same as Bill and Guy's were played.

02:50There's that unique thing that, when we're all together, it sort of creates that sound.

02:56I think that's nice.

03:01And not only I got a fright.

03:08Yeah, I look through a window and surprise what I saw.

03:15Bury your boots and let the birds unclog.

03:23Tonight was a very special night for me.

03:26This is the one that I'm proud of, anyway.

03:31Tonight, I just want to take this gig and wrap it up in a bundle,

03:36put it in my mind's eye.

03:38When I'm on my dying deathbed, I'll go,

03:41Yeah, that was a great feeling.

03:44If I had a last thought to have

03:47before I departed from this earthly domain,

03:50that would be the thought that I would love to have that gig.

03:53That's how much I feel about that gig.

03:55It was just a wonderful feeling.

03:59It was a great show. Everyone had a good time and we got it on tape.
